Spécimen Burger — Restaurant in Paris

NO TOILET IN THE RESTAURANT

I visited specimens and was really disappointed.

Even though I was a paying customer, they refused to let me use the restroom. In France, places that serve food and drinks are expected to have toilets for customers.

As a woman, I find this especially upsetting because access to a restroom is a basic need, and denying it feels unfair and almost like harassment. It sets a bad example for society when such essential accommodations are ignored. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

UPD: I understand that space limitations can be a challenge, but as a customer, having access to basic facilities, like a toilet and a place to wash my hands, is an important part of the overall experience. (Napkins are not the same)

However, I also found your response quite rude. It’s my right to share my honest experience, as reviews are not just about the food but also about the overall experience. Pointing out that my feedback is a "personal problem" feels dismissive and unprofessional.

Many people, will find it useful to know that there are no restrooms available when choosing a place to dine. It’s unfortunate that my experience wasn’t as positive as I had hoped, and I think it’s fair to share that...

We just kind of stumbled upon this late at night while we were hungry and ordered two burgers and some fries and drinks. And I've had a million Smash Burgers but never have I had one that was smashed paper thin before and basically just a burnt disc of meat. No discernible beef flavor other than just that flavor of overcookedness. I can say that the sauce and cheese were very good and the bun very soft and fresh but this Burger left me hungry. In general in Paris I've been fairly disappointed with the fries I've gotten everywhere however I can say these were some of the best but just not quite up to what we're used to in other places around the world. Also the name of the place is a little off-putting. When I first saw specimen it just made me think of a doctor's visit and them needing some sort of a stool sample. Perhaps a translates...

I recently visited this place and I must say, the burgers were incredibly tasty! The interior design is nice, creating a clean and inviting atmosphere. It’s great that you can see into the kitchen, which appears to be well-maintained and clean. The staff was friendly and provided good service.

I did notice that despite the popularity of their online orders, the place was often empty. However, that didn’t bother me personally. In my opinion, this might be one of the best burger places in the area, if not the entire city.

One thing to note is that they offer a limited menu with only two options: double cheese and a vegetarian burger. While this may not suit everyone’s preferences, the quality of their burgers is outstanding.
