Sushi Bassano — Restaurant in Paris

Horrible experience. The lady owner or manager was very rude. Asked if we wanted bottled water instead of tap water. When we said no just tap she had an attitude and a look. You trying to evade taxes lady? Lol. Came time to pay I pulled out my credit card, she then asked you don’t have cash? I said no, she gave me a RBF and said ok and pulled out the credit card machine. Fried roll was undercooked, the batter was still sandy and tasted like raw batter. Eel was all skin, no meat. The tuna, salmon, and snapper was good but sliced paper thin. They also didn’t bring out our salads that was part of the set. Stay away if you’re a sushi connoisseur. This place is NO GOOD! Here’s my five thumbs...

Sushi Bassano is one of those restaurants that make your stay in Paris Amazon. Located in a nice area of Paris near the Arc the Triumph, it offers a good variety of Japanese dishes.

Staff is friendly and they always look after you. I drop by mistake one sushi stick, and one second later I had a new pair of chopsticks.

Let's talk about the food. The food is delicious and well presented. Portions are generous and depending on what you get, you'll have a miso soup and side rice included. The sushi is great.

Good sushi, regular the rest. What I mean with this is that the sushi quality is good (not excelent, but with a good cut and good rice) and with a reasonable price. But the rest of the staff (tempura, gyoza, etc) is not homemade, its frozen, and you can feel it. Even the wasabi was not good 😓 So if you look for a sushi place with a reasonable price in this area, it is a good place. But don’t try the rest of the staff.
