Tanat is a fantastic cafĆ© with a warm, inviting atmosphere and stylish decor spread across two floors. Thereās plenty of seating, making it a great place to relax, catch up with friends, or just enjoy a great cup of coffee. The staff are super friendly and welcoming ā and everyone speaks English, which is always helpful for travellers.
While itās a solid spot for a quality coffee, what really sets Tanat apart is their incredible selection of beans. I had their Carlos Vergara Magic Geisha Tropical, and I can honestly say itās the best coffee Iāve ever had in my life ā unbelievably vibrant and floral. Itās rare to find something that memorable, and it alone makes Tanat worth a visit.
The location is also ideal ā within walking distance of many of Parisā main tourist attractions, making it a perfect stop during a day of sightseeing.
As a bonus, they also sell brewing gear and offer the cheapest Origami conical brewer Iāve seen anywhere ā just ā¬15, plus ā¬10 for the holder. A great deal if youāre into brewing at home.
Highly recommend Tanat for anyone serious about coffee or just looking for a great cafƩ...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTANAT instantly gave me Bay Area vibesāin the best way. Itās clean, intentional, and clearly built for people who love their coffee. I first came across their beans in Portugal at Liberty CafĆ©, then again at Hanso and Hanso 2 in Madrid, and a couple other spotsāand each time, I was impressed. So I was especially excited to visit TANAT here in Paris.
They offer several options, and I got to try both the Peru and their signature coconut-fermented Colombian. The coconut fermentation gives it this smooth, complex profile thatās just wild in the best way. The Peru was bright and balanced, and the light roast I tried had a delicate Earl Grey note that paired beautifully with their raspberry cake. Still on my list is the Yemen Al Harazi, which is tough to source but known for its rich, boozy notes.
Huge shoutout to Nicolaāa fellow foodie who welcomed us with warmth, guided me through the options, and even shared pastry recs from around the neighborhood. Thoughtful people, exceptional coffee, and one of my favorite...
