a charming small bistro, we only stumbbled on them as they were one of the few places open in later August-early September that wasn't a buger joint or noodle house, and we are glad we did. A quiet night for them meant we were able to have a chat & laugh with the owner who spoke excellent English to counter our shocking French. At the end of the mean the young chef came up to ask what we thought of the meal, again she spoke excellent english. My partner Lis had a Duck Breast that was cooked perfectly and presnted with style, I opted for the 'plat do jour' and ordered the Tangine of Lamb and chicken, which whilst perfectly fine just missed the mark on a Tangine, the base stock was good but the traditional seasoning used didn't inspire this retired chef. None the less it was her personal interpretation of a traditional Tangine so gets full marks for the attempt. I had intended to go back the following night, but sadly we were both just exhausted and due to fly home to NZ the next day. I would welcome the Chef & "The boss" ;-) staying in contact if she wanted any advise or indeed if she decided to visit NZ to work and I could put her in touch with top NZ chefs. Skilled proffesionals are in short supply in NZ so she would be most welcome (sorry the actual boss Im not trying to steal your chef)

Not only my meal tasted like something that I wouldn't even serve in a public school cafeteria, but after I returned the meal immediately and ordered another one, by the end of the meal they tried to force me to PAY FOR BOTH DISHES!
Even though I clearly returned the first one immediately after one bite. It's worth noting that when I returned the order they took it with no questions asked, as if it's completely ok.
They actually argued with me by trying to force me to pay more. It was also very clear they are stretching the situation and trying to get more and more money out of the whole deal because I'm a tourist.
Disgusting place with disgusting staff that think its ok to treat your customer like garbage just because he is a tourist....
Read moreHands down, one of our best meal in Paris trip. Our head turnt right when they come with our plates cause the scent was just soooooo gooood. The fish is very fresh and the béarnaise is on point. Veal is just to die for, and the jus is like ✨ chef’s kiss ✨ The grilled onion is like 🥺💖 it just totally life the entire plate. We had pain perdu for dessert with just the order of one - but they split it into two plates for us so we can enjoy separately. The bread is sooooo good like 😭 Also really recommend having yogurt icecream instead of vanilla as it really gives the refreshing taste to the plate - and the yogurt icecream is like a dream.
Totally 100000/10 recommend this place. Everything is so nice and the service is so good. Will come back...
