Rude! Rude! Rude! I came in with my family in the evening close to 9pm to try some desserts, but as soon as I started to order ice cream for my kids, the women who sat us interrupted me and asked if we were having dinner, I said no and she became even more upset and she said she had to move us from the table because that table was not a table to have ice cream, she walked to a table that was not set and shoved the table and said here! To which my husband and I responded with thank you and proceeded to be leave.

Mind you the restaurant was not busy, it was actually pretty empty (makes sense now after I have read other terrible reviews) there were about 4 other tables that were being served on the inside.

The only reason we went in was because it was across the street from our hotel and it has signs on the outside saying they have coffee, desserts, hot chocolate, etc.

Good luck to anyone else accidentally stumbling upon this rude and disrespectful staff! Run away as...

I politely asked in French if my server spoke English, which he did. If he said no, I would have gone elsewhere as to not bother him. I sat and waited for a long time watching others be served before I was even asked for my order. Everyone was served chips with their beverages, and I wasn’t. I ordered an appetizer and a drink while letting the server know I would also like a main course after the appetizer, but he took my menu away anyway. While eating the appetizer, there was a woman who appeared to have rank in the restaurant who was extremely rude and hovered around me the entire time. I watched customers literally order one drink and leave who were treated properly, whereas I actually wanted to spend decent money there trying multiple foods.

I would not recommend this place due to service and the attitude of the female manager/owner. I realize that this is France, though I would have not bothered if they told me English is not a frowned...

We were looking for a Restaurant very late at night and this Restaurant looked very nice so we sat outside. Unfortunately I only speak English & Spanish but these two languages very well. I tried to order 2 glasses of Rose and I think it was a misunderstanding because we received 4dl (2 glasses each). I tried to explain and I also said sorry, but the Chef de Service was very rude. She was like: „This is a pinch (or something like that)“ and I said: „oh okay no idea what it is but I only wanted 1 glass each so sorry“ and she still said in a rude way: „As I said, it‘s a pinch.“ So I felt so uncomfortable and we decided to pay… we felt so wrong in this place. So not welcome… very sad. But it was not only her, also one other man was very rude in the way how he put the glasses on the table. Only the young man who brought us the invoice was nice. So, you can have a beautiful ambience and good food but if the service sucks, the whole...

We had the most incredible experience at XVIe Avenue. Not only was each course exceptional (seriously) but the service was outstanding! Our server, Benedict, was polite, professional, and so willing to provide recommendations—and she was funny too! We began with a bottle of white, escargot, and a simple, but delicious salad. For our mains, the veil stew and duck filet (a MUST try), and we capped off our meal with an exceptional apple crumble and espresso. The cherry on top for me is that it’s slightly off the beaten path and not loaded with tourists. I would come back time and time again to experience this place.
