We weren’t sure where to eat in Strasbourg for dinner, but we happened to stop in front of this bistro and decided to give it a try. It’s a casual spot that serves both alcoholic drinks and food. While the food isn’t top-class, the portions offer good value for the price, and the beer is refreshing. The atmosphere is pleasant, with air conditioning inside, and the staff are friendly. However, one of the staff members accidentally broke something, which created a bit of tension as the others seemed stressed. Despite that, it’s a restaurant worth visiting...

TOURIST TRAP, BEWARE! Asked for a beer during the happy hour, when the bill comes – PUFF, your beer is almost twice as much. The waiter aggressively tells you as if you “misunderstood” and “that’s not what he told you when you asked” (as if the beer was not included in the happy hour, but he actually told me it was “the only one included”!!) We ended up at Le Gapolin randomly on a weekday afternoon. The moment we entered, the good people of Le Galopin told us that the kitchen is closed and they are only serving Tart Fambee and mulled wine. And that's all we were looking for!
