First night in Strasbourg, we decided to try this restaurant on the outskirts of Petite France. Seemed like pretty progressive concept and design for area. Menu and envoironment were a tad "hipstery" too. Food and service were decent as our server struggled with English communication as we did with our French. There were a few miscommunications, but nothing to ruin the meal. Overall, he was prompt and took care of us. Menu has English, German and French descriptions. Wine list had something for everyone and organized well on menu. Food had very large portions, not typical of French restaurants. Tables are close together. Was also surprising to see several dogs under tables, however none were service dogs. Otherwise, nice experience for this late at night on a Monday.

Extremely popular restaurant with quick table service and plenty of seats for outside dining. Right on the side of the canal petite France. Try their veal cordon bleu with Comté cheese and ham or Diced poultry and cream sauce. The menu is written in German French and English and the restaurant is well patronize by all. Staff are quick to serve and provide efficient, professional service. We ordered two dishes hey Coca Cola no-sugar and asked for tapwater and was dutifully provided. La corde à Linge (Clothes Line) is a good place to eat. Easy mobility access and plenty of rooms for prams. There is even a small electric train which passes by the seating area every ten minutes or so.

The restaurant is beautiful, the view is great, the coffee is delicious. The hostess on the other hand, was rather terrible. Rude and seemed immensely inconvenienced at having to provide service in the hospitality industry. Seems to be the main negative complaint they get. If not for location, this is like a 2 star stop. Four of us arrived at 11a for lunch but they do not serve any food until 11:45am. You also cannot use any of the tables on the water half of the restaurant until lunch. You seem to be able to start ordering food at 11:30am, but I am guessing because the waitress never said that. People just had lunch menus starting then, but not us. You also still could not use the nice tables between 11:30-11:45am as people were still being told to sit in the Café. Finally, first question when I paid, "Do you have coins?". No, I paid you with a 50 euro for a reason... Literally my only bad Google review, you really have to try to upset me. I do not care if everything is good if your service is bad. Also the city itself is a little dodgy, guy peeing in the street like 250 meters away, pickpockets, and beggars.

I'd recommend to make a reservation because the line could be quite long. I reserved two weeks before we arrived Straßburg and could choose to sit inside or outside. During lunch and Dinner you'd see that the restaurant is never empty. Not to mention the view is beautiful next to river and it's in the city center. Food was really nice and the price was fair. We had Salad as appetizers, we asked to make it vegetarian one and I think they replaced the meat with too many cheeses but this is okay ;). Both of us had Spätzle as main dish, they are very delicious and different from the one we had in Stuttgart. Overall, a restaurant I'd recommend.

I had an excellent meal here. I was with a group of American high school students, so most of our meals were preselected for us. This was the only dinner I chose for myself while in Strasbourg, and I'm so glad I came here. I ordered the perch ("Popeline"), which was perfectly cooked and a great portion. But the spaetzle - it was the best I've ever had in my life. Like, eat the fantastic fish, but save the spaetzle for last so every last bite is fantastic. I'm worried that no other spaetzle I eat will ever live up to it. The atmosphere was beautiful. There were musicians playing in the square. It really was idyllic.

Beautiful spot, close to the river walk and the old French quarter. Wonderful outdoor terrace under the sycamore trees, overlooking the water canal and the amazing street activity! Also in the pedestrian zone so a relaxed and Food is traditional French or Alsatian. Great service, delightful and efficient waitress. (People are so friendly in this City, in spite of tourists asking dumb questions). Thé salade was perfect: crisp, fresh and full of little surprises (popcorn croutons). The beer is a light Alsace speciality Meteor Pils. I loved this place. In the tourist zone but very authentic and real.
