I've been to the store a couple of time today, actually my first day here. The first time in the early afternoon was brilliant, the guy at the till was really helpful and nice. The second time, now in the evening, has been one of my worst experience so far with starbucks. I ordered a simple decaf double espresso and a tall soya latte for my partner(heavily lactose intolerant). After telling how a double espresso would be in a short cup I said yes, just to discover after paying they were selling me four shots, extra charging me without explaining it clearly before. As I complaint, I had to argue to have what I asked for and a refund. As if it wasn't enough when my partner received her latte it was with normal milk even if the cup said soya. (the staff said it was normal after asking for confirmation.) When asking for soya the girl there asked if it was for allergies or not and saying that it was for intolerance she looked pissed off while starting remaking it. A completely lack of respect regarding the allergen and a terrible customer service. I've been to different starbucks, in France and in other country, and this kind of service doesn't respect the motto...
Read moreWe visited this Starbucks during the evening after a long day out, we ordered something to eat and drink with no problem. At this point we needed hot water to feed our baby daughter as the hot water in the flask had cooled down too much. I went to the till and asked a member of staff if it would be possible to have hot water to feed our daughter please, as a rule companies do not charge for this service. However, the man behind the till said under security reasons we can not give you hot water, as I pushed him on the matter he all of a sudden decided he can charge for the hot water, which he was making up as he was going along, he firstly tried to charge around €4 then went down to €3 and and finally €2 odd. We decided to leave in disgust and with regret of purchasing food and coffee there, luckily not all businesses operate this way, we went to McDonald's without purchasing anything and requested hot water and received without any problems free of charge the staff were very understanding. Starbucks could learn a thing or two from Macdonalds, they should be ashamed of themselves for not being...
Read moreOn arrival there were two lovely boys who served my boyfriend and I some freebies which was lovely, if only they served us inside! The young boy taking my order, not much older than myself couldn't even greet us with a smile. He was very very condescending and then seemed he was a lot more friendly of those who spoke full french. I saw him interact with another woman who was english and I saw he gave her the same attitude an experience. He rushed us and turned to my boyfriend and said "is that all" in a manor in which i was shocked. If you want to work in customer service, especially a tourist spot then you have to be prepared to deal with tourists and not give them cheek, especially when they are not disrespecting you. The lady who gave us our order when it was prepared was so lovely and gave us a smile and said thank you. I appreciate that she is a gem! But yeah the young boy really just ruined my mood and experience as I felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome by his tone and mannerisms. Coffee was...
