Yesterday, we ended up at this restaurant and had a great time. We really liked the food, the atmosphere, and everything was good, so we decided to come back today. Today, there were significantly more people than yesterday, but luckily, a table was still found for us, which made us very happy.
We ordered 3 portions of shashlik, potatoes, salads, and wine. Unfortunately, the white wine was warm. We waited about 30 minutes for the shashlik. We had no complaints about the long waiting time, as we understood the restaurant was busy. But despite ordering 3 portions of shashlik, only one was brought out at first. It was served without the sauce and bread that we had ordered in advance. The potatoes arrived after my friend had already finished his shashlik (and the sauce was simply forgotten).
The whole time, we just watched our friend have his dinner. Eventually, we received the remaining two portions of shashlik, but I had to remind them about the sauce. As a result, now our friend just sat and watched us eat since he had finished his food much earlier.
To sum up — the food, regardless of the long waiting time, was tasty. But it was served in a very chaotic way. The shashlik came separately, the potatoes separately (even though it was a side dish — we didn’t want to eat meat, sauce, and potatoes all separately), and the salads separately. So unfortunately, we couldn’t really enjoy the flavors of the food because we were hungry and just wanted to eat.
It’s clear the restaurant has a lot of potential, and the place itself is designed with love. But the lack of order and consistency in service really...
Read moreThis is a high class Georgian restaurant that sets the mood for a cozy and comfortable dining. We had a marvellous dinner here. After a week in Tbilisi, I was convinced that Georgian foods are all salty, but after here, some restaurants can make a perfect taste. The foods here are very-well seasoned and cooked in perfect balanced taste. We all loved the Georgian family dish which is the PORK OJAKHURI (it’s sooo gooood). The rest of the dishes are good too and not salty at all. The best part is the ambience of the place. The decorations are a food for the eye. Everything is well-set and organised. It’s a pot-themed restaurant that makes you wanna enjoy a sip pf wine. Light and music choice blends well with the setting. Wide and spacious table, soft and comfty chairs and couches. The pictures will show you a more detailed description of what I’m trying to say. They have sufficient variety of food options to choose from: not too much that makes you dizzy choosing and not too less. Offering varieties of each course from appetizer, salads, soups, mains, pastries and desserts. The staff are very professional, attentive, informative and polite, far from the cold attitude you normally get in Tbilisi. The lady who attended to us was very warm and friendly. We enjoyed our dinner in all aspects. Highly recommend tourists to have a sit here...
Read moreThe food was actually really good and tasty, except for mushroom khinkali that were way too salty. We maybe expected more from the service, that was honestly messy and badly organized. Water arrived with nonsense delay while all the rest of the food was on the table, some beers we ordered never made it to the table and were served one by one, the waiters were all extremely nice but some of them not so experienced.
The music was nice but way too loud, we asked to make it lower but they said it was not possible: it's a common problem in certain restaurants in Georgia, made worse by the very high ceilings that provide a bad acoustic. If you search a quiet dinner for a nice conversation with friends, it will be hard to find a suitable place.
Same for the AC that was kind of non existing in our part of the room.
Overall we had nice food but the atmosphere was so and so, honestly given such nice reviews we thought of a more professional service, but there's room for...
