Tom Yum — Restaurant in Tbilisi

Given the spice limitation here, this restaurant has the best and most authentic Tom Yum in Tbilisi, especially the clear soup (no coconut milk) version.

This is coming from someone who tried every single Tom Yum from every Thai restaurant in Tbilisi! Also, I come from a neighboring Southeast Asian country with many authentic Thai restaurants and has also lived in Thailand myself, so I grew up loving this soup.

The white rice you order will also be of the right and thoughtful portion (e.g., not too small) and if you're gonna do takeaways, the plastic bowl they use to delivery the soup is also perfectly sealed. I now order takeaways at least 2-3 times a week from this restaurant.

We ordered grilled pork, the pork is quite dry, but the sauce tasted very Thai. I do like the sauce. The fried glass noodle and fried rice is very average from the perspective of taste and portion. The disappoint thing is Tom Kha soup, we ordered seafood, but the first bite brings me too strong mushroom taste which is not suppose to be, then we realize there are literally 2 shrips and 2 sqiud rings, the rest are all mushroom! Ordered here two times. First time was better than the second. The thin noodles were pretty good. However the price is way above average - you need to pay 22GEL for noodles with chicken. Tom kha was a disappointment. The broth was tasteless and it had some boiled pieces of chicken and pieces of onion - definitely would not want to repeat. The yellow noodles were not as good as thin noodles in my opinion, there was much less sauce and almost no chicken, probably it very much depends on who cooks the dish. Tom yum was average...
