ULU Bar & Bistro — Restaurant in Tbilisi

I don't understand why this place is highly rated. Many items on the menu were not available and the ones that were available were all mid.

The only lemonade they had was a citrus lemonade but I only got an orange juice with soda water and it was so bland.... Tasted like small amount of orange juice with mostly water.... No taste of lemonade at all! The girl was nice enough to give me a slice of lemon and that helped but it was the worst drink I had in all of Tbilisi and I always order lemonades here and have been satisfied. They should not list it under Lemonade if it doesn't have any lemons!!

The salmon sashimi didn't seem fresh.... But tastes like smoked salmon and a bit tough.

The risotto was very small amount for the price.

Everything was just average.... And a bit disappointing because I had high hopes based on the menu and reviews.

I recently visited this cafe with amazing signature dishes and I must say, I was blown away by the flavors. I tried the spicy Laksa soup, the pappardelle with marinated beef, demi-glace sauce and cheese mousse, and the tuna tartare with avocado and garlic chili sauce. Everything was so delicious that we didn't even take any pictures - we just savored every bite. The service was also exceptional. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the chef even came out to ask for feedback on the food during his free time. It was a lovely touch that made us feel appreciated as guests Overall, I highly recommend this bistro for anyone looking for a delightful culinary experience. ULU is a must-visit restaurant!!!!!!! The beef tataki, prune pate, green salad, and cheesecake were all exceptional and packed with flavor. The cozy atmosphere and stylish interior only added to the charm of the place, and the friendly staff made us feel right at home. To top it off, the chef and owner himself brought out our dishes, adding a personal touch to the already delightful dining experience.
