English version: Finally, I had the pleasure of visiting “Lolita” for lunch!🥳🥳 5th place out of 7 from my list. Review: 16/35😔
Objectively:
Here's the translation:
Cannot reach the hostess: No response from any of the three calls within an hour; The menu was dirty; pages were torn and greasy. (What happened?); I couldn’t cut the dessert because it was super dry; The stuff gathering was everywhere; There was no hot water in the WC;
In summary, I want to express both positive and negative aspects: ✅ The ambiance is very nice with cheerful music and friendly staff. ❌ I ordered a coffee, dessert, and a cocktail together, but first, they brought the coffee and after 10 minutes - the dessert. The main course was served at time. Cocktail came only after the main course was finished. The dessert was delicious, but still...
Read moreDefinitely not recommend. Worst service ever. Manager refused to host 3 people. Lost order. No sorry from stuff. —————— The place is all about being arrogant and contemptuous. “Security” at the entrance is rude and look down on you. There were 3 of us and our friend was already waiting inside. When we came no one welcomed us and no one gave us menu. We took a random table inside and moved extra chair ourselves. And straight away a waiter came up to us and said that we cannot move chairs. We asked why because it sounded weird as all other tables were free and we did not cause any inconvenience to other visitors and the waiter said it was due to the restaurant policy. In return we asked a table for three and he said that this is impossible and the only way is to sit double at the couch for one. We asked to speak with the manager and the woman was absolutely not friendly and basically repeated same words that this is the restaurant policy and they cannot help us and if we are not comfortable we are free to go. The absurd thing is that there was a stray dog lying on the couch of nearby table and when I asked the manager if it’s okay that you refuse to comfort guests when literally the whole table is busy by a stray dog - she said that it is fine because they are dog friendly. We were quite shocked by the answer and still somewhy decided to stay and when it was 40 minutes after we ordered, we asked about the status of our order and it appears that they simply “lost” it. And they even didn’t say sorry for that. We asked for the bill (for the cocktail) which they brought immediately. We paid and left. And no one even said that they are sorry for the situation. The...
Read moreThis is a tough one. On the one hand, this is a fun, vibrant, lively place with good vibes. The food is good, but not as good as it was a few years back and, this is my subjective opinion: the menu is full of different things that don't flow together super well. I was disappointed with the chicken katsu curry which had undercooked rice, and an Indian style curry instead of a Japanese one which is usually with chicken katsu. The dish just didn't work well with the textures and flavours that were mixed together. Still, the tomato soup with grilled cheese is excellent, the hachipuri is good, and the salads are quite nice.
The biggest problem is service. After a few visits, the same thing keeps happening: it takes a long time to get a menu, it takes a long time to get an order in, the waiters keep shifting so it isn't clear who is serving us, and dishes are forgotten or come really late after almost everyone has finished. You have to get up to find someone to help you, and that shouldn't be the case. The staff is nice, but things seem disorganised which creates gaps in communication. Furthermore, if you are a non-smoker, you usually go to a closed room and are invisible to the staff for long periods. It sucks to feel like you're punished for not smoking. If you don't have a child with you sit outside so you are visible.
I was very fond of this place, I'm sure I'll still go here when friends visit, but the service just isn't great and Georgian hospitality is some of the best in the world, so it feels really strange to not have...
