I’m utterly disappointed with my family’s 5-night stay (3 nights, then 2 nights after a gap) at the Radisson Blu Iveria in Tbilisi last week of May 2025. As a family of four from India, we booked two superior rooms with city views (higher floors) well in advance, paying 100% non-refundable rates, trusting the Radisson brand after extensive research. What a mistake! This hotel is a business-oriented, soulless place with zero vacation vibes—cold, unwelcoming, and poorly maintained. Here’s why this was a nightmare: Terrible Location: The hotel is 1.5 km from Tbilisi’s vibrant city center, stuck on a highway with shady nightclubs nearby. It’s isolated and lifeless—far from the action. There are far better hotels in the heart of Tbilisi; choose those instead! Just after the hotel, there are some dubious, shady nightclubs. Gloomy and Unwelcoming Atmosphere: The lobby is dreary, and the front desk staff are indifferent, just clocking in their shifts. No warmth, no care—just robotic service that makes you feel like a burden. Repetitive, Subpar Breakfast: For all 5 days, the breakfast was identical—same boring spread, with the only “live” option being omelets. I’ve stayed in hotels worldwide, and I’ve never seen such a lackluster, unchanging menu. It was dreadful. Poor Maintenance: The hotel is falling apart—chipped walls, creaky bathroom doors, and overall shoddy upkeep. Photos attached as proof. This is unacceptable for a supposed 5-star Radisson property. Nightmare Check-In Experience: On our second stay, arriving at 10:30 PM from Batumi with night plans, check-in was a disaster. They assigned us conjoined rooms on a floor under construction, with half the lobby covered in black plastic sheets! When I raised concerns, the staff dismissed it, saying, “What’s the issue with the room?” My grown kids needed separate rooms, and after arguing, we were given rooms at opposite ends of the floor. It took until midnight to sort this out, ruining our plans. The front desk staff—young, arrogant, and acting like they’re doing you a favor—were infuriatingly unprofessional. The front desk staff of this hotel are trying to present themselves as professionals, but in reality, they are just indifferent to you. The behavior is very cold and unwelcoming. The just college passed out boy and girls deployed at the front desk behave like kings and queens, and feel that the customer is at their mercy, obviously, what the customer can do now at midnight, except wasting his time while arguing with them to get the services for which he paid. No Follow-Up from Management: I requested to speak with the manager that night, but no one contacted me the next day. After pushing through the front desk’s excuses (“she’s busy,” “she’s in a meeting”), I finally met Mrs. Ana. Her response? Empty apologies with zero action. What a waste of time. Casino Coupon Fiasco: The hotel gave us 50 GEL casino coupons per person per stay (4 coupons for two stays). At the casino, they refused to honor two of the coupons, claiming they’re issued only once. After endless arguments, they offered $20 in chips to “appease” me, which I rejected. Why issue coupons if you won’t honor them? Another frustrating experience. The outdoor swimming pool was not working, as usual, under maintenance. Again, a big let-down. This hotel ruined our family vacation. The cold staff, poor maintenance, and complete disregard for guests make it clear: Radisson Blu Iveria is a terrible choice for travelers. Stay at a lively, well-maintained hotel in Tbilisi’s city center instead. Avoid this place at all costs! #RadissonBluIveria #TerribleHotel...
