Löwenbräu Keller — Restaurant in Baden-Baden

An unpleasant dining experience unfortunately. Firstly, the waitress pretended she never saw us when we first entered the restaurant. Thanks to the gentlemen behind who reminded the manager to get us seated. After we ordered the food, we waited 1 hour for the food to arrive because apparently, the waitress didn’t send our order to the kitchen. Lastly, we demanded one more spoon for the soup. The waitress, knowing no English, found a hard time distinguishing the spoon from soup, brought us another soup instead. We confirmed that we did not ask for another soup, and she became angry, for a mistake she made herself. Because clearly, the two words were too complicated for such a limited capacity of her brain. She even had the audacity to throw a tantrum to the customer. So yeah, word of advice to the restaurant, fire that b* if you still...

My illusion of German culinary standards was shattered at the Lowenbrau Keller. When I think of German sausages and meat platters I have an image of large German Fleischwurst rings, heaping sauerkraut and other meat delicacies. Unfortunately we were met with something cooked by a couple of dorm students on a shoestring budget, whilst priced as a feast. The waitress was fairly clueless ie we asked for butter, which took forever and when it came we were without cutlery to spread it, however she did not forget to add a petty amount to the bill for a couple of cold slices. Overall a TOURIST TRAP and not worth it whatsoever. Also note that a lot of the reviews are written by fake accounts that only ever left one review in their life, which were the fake 5 stars for...

Our visit was ruined by the terrible service from the older blonde woman working here. We ordered an espresso macchiato, but they brought a double espresso instead. When I pointed out the mistake, they insisted it was a macchiato clearly, the staff doesn’t know the difference between the two!! . On top of that, her attitude was hostile and dismissive, as if we weren’t welcome. The entire experience was uncomfortable. Good customer service should be a given, but here, it feels like certain people are treated differently. Between the incorrect order and the unprofessional behavior, we won’t be returning.
