Summary: excellent meat quality of the perfectly seasoned entrecôte with excellent service in a nice French brasserie ambience
Best dish: entrecôte with vegetables and Pommes allumettes
Dishes (- negative / = ok / + positive): entrecôte with vegetables and Pommes allumettes for €33 perfectly seasoned entrecôte. Great meat quality: very tender and juicy, with nice tender pieces of fat; only negative I ordered it rare and this was on the edge, more medium to medium-rare well-seasoned vegetables with a nice bite crispy and very tasty Pommes allumettes (very thin French fries); I opted for this side instead of the gratin complementary French baguettes
Service: very attentive very friendly French waiter
Price: somewhat high price for great value, but I’m more than happy to spend on an excellent experience and high quality food
Atmosphere: nice French background music nice French brasserie atomosphere = upscale for business meetings or a nice dinner out with friends

Read moreWe feel this is a solid 2.5 out of five star restaurant.
There seems to be some discrepancy in what a .2l glass of wine amounts to. Food can take a really long time to arrive. The fries accompanying your steak arrive after the steak...at some point. And only after you flag down the server who is standing at the entrance of the restaurant, holding said fries, and looking perplexed. Two entrecôtes, ordered at medium rare and rare, come out the same. We also found it off-putting that they clear one person's plates away while the other person is still eating, then drop the dessert menus — again, while one person is still finishing their steak. Maybe they were trying to get their table back faster? In that case, it would have been good to get our apps and main courses out less slowly. Sometimes it’s a Herculean effort to get the check.
But all that aside, the steak and fries are pretty good. We felt the wine was overpriced. And the service just doesn't match the prices.
There lot of five star reviews here which, if I had to wager a nickel on it, are mainly left by the business types who flock to this place with their company expense accounts at the ready....

I've finally had the chance to try this place that had been recommended to me so many times.
The Foie Gras for starter is very good, pricey, but it gets you in the French mood. The Entrecôte as well was quite good, however, nothing special for the price, and most important, the sauce was very acidic and made it the meat worse (in my opinion). The bread was just a warmed up baguette. Normal fries, normal dessert.
The atmosphere at Entrecôte is particular. If you sit in the middle and in the main areas it looks quite cozy and warm, however the seats at the end of the room (near the entrance) can be quite "cold".
The service is good, almost sophisticated (they get the jackets for you, they open the door for you), but all in all I wouldn't define it friendly, but rather professional and polite.
The overall experience was good, however for the price I believe there are still better french Brsseries.
PS. one of my friends suggested, this is a French restaurant for German people, and I...
