House of Burgerz — Restaurant in Berlin

A couple points before discussing the food. This is what I would describe as a food truck; therefore it isn't a sit down restaurant nor is there a specific entrance. To that end, the location is in an area called "Charlie's Beach" which has an entetence at a corner. I wasn't expecting these two facts so I hope this helps someone find this place.

I arrived at about 18:00 on a Sunday. I had not ordered ahead and asked for a BBQ burger with onion rings. The location seems to get a lot of online orders, both people picking up and delivery services. The result of this was despite there not being many people there it took about 25 minutes to get food. The onion rings were average; somewhat crispy, not super flavorful. The BBQ burger was very flavorful. The patty was less formed than what im used to. The combination of flavors was pretty good.

Overall the wait plus the average food resulted...

Very tasty burgers with great quality meat – the Cheeseburguer one is a solid pick. The potatoes were excellent, and having Heinz classics like ketchup, mayo and mustard available in unlimited servings was a proper bonus.

The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout. The space itself is quite unique – it’s a gaming venue, and if you head to the bathroom you’ll see a full eSports stage, properly set up and well produced. From the outside, it might not seem like much, but I assure you the quality and price are spot on.

Menus come with either fries or coleslaw, and the cherry on top: soft drinks served in glass bottles. After walking around all day, there’s nothing better than a properly chilled drink like that.

I don’t do this. I’ve maybe left one review before. I was visiting Berlin from Chicago and as a Burger connoisseur I googled “best burgers Berlin” and this came up. Luckily, it was a block away from my hotel.

I know burgers. This is an incredible burger. The beef is juicy and super flavorful. The meat crumbles away perfectly. It stays hot the whole time you eat it. One of the biggest things I look for is the presence of pepper seasoning. This has it. Owner Bora is a great guy and spent time in the US and it shows.

I recommend getting a double patty because it’s that good. Truly a 9.2-9.5/10 burger.
