There were many technical problems that made me confused and affected my ride. The audio headset provided to us was not in sync with the visuals at all. (The staff then tried to shift the blame to us, that we had pressed the pause button on the phone. I doubt I did that. Furthermore, they should just disable that button if it is problematic!). I also had to keep pressing it down at the earphone connector, because several times it stopped transmitting audio if the connector moved while I was walking.
#2 The VR headset suddenly changed its direction midway during my ride, and showed a blank loading screen. I had to change to a new seat, but there I was not hearing the correct audio language, and furthermore, it was a completely different story from the one I had chosen.
Several minutes of time was lost through these problems, making the overall story incomprehensible. Everything felt like disconnected fragments + dealing with technical issues throughout my tour.
When I told the staff about this, I was informed to stay another 45 mins for the next tour. But I had other things planned. Also, would I want to do another 45 minutes of a disorienting...
Read moreI wanted to experience it during the long night museums event but when I finally arrived there on time I was told that only the ticket for the long night museums is not enough and i need to buy a dedicated ticket for the time ride! This store participated for the long night museums event, which means one ticket covers all participation museums, so it is ridiculous that this one wants to earn extra money! The staff there was also not helpful at all.
Edited to reply to the response from the owner: first of all thanks for your reply. Could you please advise where mentioned that we need to book in advance? I don't recall seeing anything like book in advance on the official website of the Long Night of the Museums and only said that the 3D tour can only start every full hour when I checked around two weeks ago. Anyway I hope that it is a misunderstanding but it would be super helpful to make it super clear that the tour needs to be booked in advance otherwise it is disappointing and tiring for visitors to go there and leave...
Read moreIt’s an ok VR-ride through Berlin. At some point it was very confusing…
At the beginning you’re sitting in a room listening to an introduction sequence. Nobody told me that there’s gonna be a 3 part tour so I started to wonder if it’s just an audio tour.
After the intro you’re gonna be standing in a room watching a brief documentary about the wall. Once again, confusing cause the staff did explain but I was still wearing headphones to hear the voice overs and so I couldn’t hear what the guy was telling us…
The second part is quite nice. You’ll get to know some people who were living different lifes behind the wall. There was a delay with the sound but no big deal.
The last part is the VR-tour. I’ve experienced some motion sickness but I guess that’s part of it. The graphics are not quite up-to-date but for me it did the job of creating the illusion being a passenger on a tour through Berlin in the 1980.
I think it worth 12 bugs but it definitely needs...
