Ive been here a few times and they serve the tastiest coffee in berlin in my opinion, the place is clean and the staff is nice.
It shocked me to read some of the reviews here as you should judge a coffee place by it's coffee first and foremost.
First: There is a no laptop policy and card payment only policy, both of which is easy to spot once you come inside. I am a GUEST- not a king, I either respect the house rules or i am free to go somewhere else. How should the staff know that im only going to write a quick email once i open my laptop? I could very well be sitting here asking for tapwater for the next 2 hours which brings me to my next point:
If a place serves you tapwater for free- great, be grateful. If not then go to the bathroom, drink some at home or godforbid just buy a bottle of water. You are not entitled to a free beverage from a place that makes its income from serving beverages. What if 8/10 customers ask for free water? These glasses dont clean themselves and neither does the rent pay itself, which im guessing will not be cheap for Berlin Mitte.
The staff has always been very warm and/ or nice to me and the customers around me. They have no reason to be "unfriendly" as some of you claim, except of course when you disrespect the place with your behavior. Some of you treat service staff like servants and expect submissive compliance when your demands are not met. You guys should take a long hard look at yourself and reflect on your ego before you badmouth other people. Luckily its just a vocal minority that goes on the internet and throw child like tantrums. These guys/gals work hard, the place is busy and long in business in a competetive district. Have some respect where...

In this coffee shop i received the worst customer service I have ever experienced. My friends and I were kicked out and refused service before we even had a chance to order.
The entire problem started when a friend arrived ahead of us. He simply needed to sit down for a moment to send an urgent email while he waited for us to arrive, letting the staff know we were all on our way and would be ordering as a group. He was immediately rudely told that laptops were not allowed. The staff's tone was incredibly unprofessional and showing a complete lack of basic courtesy
When my friend and I arrived, we approached the counter ready to order our drinks and food. Instead of taking our order, the same employee told us, "We will not serve you. Go find a different place." This was a shocking and humiliating display of disrespect. The fact that a business would turn away paying customers with such contempt is shocking haha. We were treated as if we had done something wrong, and their refusal to serve us was both childish and unprofessional. We will not be returning, and I urge others to take coffee...
Read moreA week ago I jammed my hand in a car door quite bad and it was pretty swollen and hurtful and I asked for help to provide some ice so I can cool my hand to prevent from further swelling. The guy working that day was really hesitant and said I have to pay for the ice. Obviously I did pay the 30 Cents as I was in pain and needed help but I strongly believe that this is wrong behavior when someone is injured and first aid should not be charged no matter the prize. I was in company and we consumed snacks and drinks but unfortunately I cannot recall the taste of any of these as the only thing that remained in my memory was their difficulty of providing first aid. I advise the owner of the cafe to train their staff better, I am sure the above mentioned behavior is not what is expected. There is lots if cafes in that area....
