La Via del Muro is a beautiful spot with a lovely ambiance. The decor is charming, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting.
The appetizers were definitely the highlight of the evening. The Frutti di Mare soup was rich, packed with seafood, and full of deep, comforting flavors, by far the standout dish of the night. The Burrata with pesto was fresh, creamy, and generously portioned, while the shrimp pil-pil bruschetta had the perfect balance of garlic and spice.
However, there was a long wait between the appetizers and the mains, which was a bit frustrating. Once the main courses arrived, they didn’t quite live up to the high expectations set by the appetizers. The carbonara was good and the best main, the Frutti di Mare pasta was decent but lacked a stronger seafood flavor. The entrecôte was tiny, and the tenderloin was cooked beyond the medium I requested. The herb butter was underwhelming, lacking the herbal punch I was hoping for, almost like plain butter.
The service was friendly, and the waiter was pleasant, but I personally don’t like when some dishes are cleared before everyone has finished eating.
We didn’t try the pizzas, but they looked fantastic, and every table that ordered them seemed to really enjoy them.

Read moreI recently dined with my beloved wife at La Via del Muro, an Italian restaurant, and unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations.
The pizza was served cold, which significantly affected its taste and enjoyment, it would have been much better if it was hot at least.
The lasagna, had an overpowering amount of spices, which detracted from the overall flavor.
The tiramisu, though presented nicely, lacked the rich flavors and depth I was anticipating, also the portion was too small.
The crème brûlée fell below expectations in terms of taste and look.
Regrettably, these factors overshadowed the pleasant ambiance of the restaurant.
I hope the establishment takes note of these remarks and works towards improving the quality of their dishes in the future.
In addition to the aforementioned details, it's worth noting that La Via del Muro had slightly higher prices compared to similar restaurants. This could be a factor to consider when dining there.
Furthermore, the restaurant seemed to be understaffed, with only one or two persons managing multiple tasks.
This led to delays in service and attention to customers' needs. It's important for the restaurant to address these staffing issues in order to provide a more efficient and enjoyable dining experience for...

The waiter ask us to pick one of the tables to the right. We did. Another waiter then told us to pick another one, because that table was already reserved...
There's a sign at the table, asking you to review the restaurant, and also show the review for the staff for a "special" surprise.
I understand now, why this restaurant has so many good reviews. Of course you wanna leave a good review if you can get something from it.
The spagetti Rossini was tasty and rich in flavor. Carbonara was good and creamy. Frutti di mare was tasty but a little dry. A little more sauce would have made it better.
The interior was nice.
The service was non existent. They didn't even ask if we liked the food.
They only accept cash, no card.
Usually when you pay, they give you the change back. But at this restaurant they ask you how much you want to get back, so they can guilt you on leaving tips.
They even write it in big letters in the receipt box that tips are not included.
I usually only leave tips if we had a good experience with good service. I left around 3 Euros just to avoid any hassle.
It's a shame. The food is good, but the service, "bought" reviews and the handling of tips makes me not wanna recommend this...
