First I wanna say I have been visiting this gaming club 2-5 times a month for the past 4 months. First visits were good: the staff was polite, place wasn’t much overcrowded, and I wasn’t aware of their rules since they didn’t appear to be used. However my last couple of visits became a huge disappointment
The club recently introduced a new rule: after 2 hours of playing, you can be politely asked to leave because “other customers are waiting” and “you’ve been sitting for too long.” This rule is not just ridiculously annoying it’s also completely unfair since their “ALL DAY PASS” costs €20. Yet in reality, you’re only playing for 2-3 hours. While the place itself has limited amount of pc’s, LVL staff selling unlimited amount of “all day passes” — and it appears to be not enough pc’s for everyone. You already know how they solve this.
My friends that visited this place earlier before told me that previously the limit was 3 hours, but now they’ve reduced it even further and it seems like the club is more interested in making a quick profit rather than providing good customer experience.
To be honest the first couple of times we didn’t want to ruin our mood, so we tried out other zones (VR, PS5), and they were just okay. But later this situation kept happening every single visit and other zones got crowded too and we realized that we don’t understand what we pay for.
Last weekend, three of us visited on both Friday and Saturday, each of us paid 20€, and on both days, we were kicked out the PCs after just a couple of hours of playing. So tell me, LVL staff, was it really worth the extra €120 you made of us? I don’t think so cuz we won’t be coming back
Instead of coming up with ridiculous restrictions, how about buying 5-10 more PCs? Or at least stop selling “all-day passes” when they’re actually limited to just 2-3 hours of playing? I would really consider buying 3h pass for 7-8€, but you have no option like that.
To be fair they have nice burgers and good atmosphere inside, pc’s are good. But with all these rules in the end we’re extremely disappointed with all this experience.
And the most disappointing thing of all of that that there are no any other alternative gaming clubs in Berlin (for the current moment). But believe me — there will be soon if LVL will not come up with some customer...
Read moreFriendly staff, possibility to eat vegan food, overall everything looked clean, nice environment, no internet packet loss - I experienced CS2 laggs through packet loss at OffWorld Gaming Berlin, but here everything was smooth, although main issues: Why 4 and not 5? 1) Membrane keyboards with a VERY awkward button placement, it was very frustrating to push the small shift and ctrl buttons as their position was slightly different from what people may be used on majority of keyboards, also membrane? cmon, I understand that it may be cost wise more effective as less replacement is needed, but mechanical is just different and OffGaming World in Berlin has it. 2) Headset was broken, no microphone, this was something I didn't notice at first, but couldn't communicate. 3) I would prefer to change monitors to Zowie as the stand of the monitor doesn't allow to put it closer to the player - the stand's legs push keyboard in an awkward way and it's not comfortable to play CS2 this way. 4) The same PROBLEM that OffWorld Gaming had - the same Logitech mouses that have acceleration and it's not possible to change it through the driver, I would disable pointer precision through settings + instal MarkC mouse fix, many good players are used to 0 acceleration from the times of CS 1.6, it's all about pointing the mouse to the right place and when even a bit of accel. is ON it feels so much off regardless of sensitivity changes. If they changed monitors or somehow it's legs, had mechanical keyboards or at least keyboards with the most popular button placement for FPS games and turned off the acceleration or bought Zowie mouses with 0 accel. then it...
Read moreFor those that are into casual gaming, Well this place is for you then. They have food which is Burgers and fries and several other things on the menu. They have plenty of pc's for gaming as well in the basement.
Now If you're hardcore gamer and played video game arcades from the 80's and 90's. Then I'll warn you that the cabinet has 30 games from the popular Street Fighter 2 series to Street Fighter 3 seires. You also have a couple of the Marvel vs Capcom series.By the way all the games are roms so maybe someone can download a couple more to their library. As for the arcade joystick is good, but the button layout is custom made and it feels unatural spread out.
They have a vs F1 racer as well which has some good controllers and seems a lot of fun. You can also find some console games to play with which is good. The greeter in the entrace did a great job explaining what LVL World is and was attentive to customers.
I would recommend this place for casuals and hopeful LVL could introduce really arcade cabinets. Maybe LVL can rent some machines from the out of business GameOn Entertainment and attract new customers.
Later on I will take pictures of inside as my cellphone was pretty much dead.
ps. LVL has clean bathrooms and a...
