The libanese place I grew up with! Been there for the last decade and haven't been disappointed once - the variety of choices (falafel, halloumi, shawarma, makali, ...) and mostly also the ability to mix food together provides the customer the ability not to feel like they eat the same thing again and again.
The bread is tasty too and the "sesam sauce" is a must!
Finally, it's worth mentioning that the prices didn't explode like some other places in this area - although I miss the 2,5€ sandwiches :) Still, it's one of the best price/service ratio restaurant in Schöneberg and beyond!

Read moreHabibi was once my favorite falafel place in Berlin. The staff were friendly and inviting, and the falafel was really quite special. Now, it feels like an inconvenience. The energy is damp and the food is being reheated with a microwave, leaving it mildly warm, the falafel a bit dry, and the bread becomes quite soggy. The vegetables are quite oily, but cooked very well. The tomatoes used for topping were cut way too big, leaving what felt like 1/3 of a tomato on top, throwing off the delicate balance of toppings vs. filling. The sheer weight of the tomato sends the soft bread falling to the sides if not eaten immediately.

Habibi is a definite favorite in the neighborhood and well- there was a constant line of people buying schwarma and falafel. If you get overwhelmed on a Sunday Wochenmarkt at Winterfeldplatz, do yourself a favor and go have the best schwarma or...
