WARNING - This place takes advantage of tourists I very rarely write reviews, but this particular instance really annoyed me. Stopped by yesterday evening to get a quick, simple burger (the classic with cheese) and fries. The service was quite slow, and the food was just average, so on that basis I would give the restaurant a 3. However, when I went to pay my bill, I noticed a 3.90 euro charge for Bottled water. This was confusing to me since I never ordered OR RECEIVED bottled water. I ordered tap water, which came in a glass, from a tap. When I tried to notify the waitress of the mistake, she said "no, you ordered bottled still," then changed her tune to "Yes, that is the price for tap water". Which a) was not in the menu, b) was not ever mentioned, and c) was just ridiculous. I've attached the picture of my drink and the menu, which clearly says "Bottled Table Water" is 3.90-- not tap water. I decided to just pay the charge and go about my evening, but I wonder if I would have been given a phony 3.90 charge if I had ordered in German instead. Places like this that try to take advantage of tourists really should ask themselves if...

During our visit, we indulged in a hamburger meal accompanied by crispy French fries and a fresh Caesar salad. The burger was juicy and flavorful, complemented by the soft sourdough bun. The fries were perfectly cooked, adding a satisfying crunch to our meal. For dessert, we couldn't resist the strudel pie, which was a delightful end to our dining experience.
The service was exceptional, thanks to our attentive waiter Agnija, who ensured we had everything we needed and provided excellent recommendations. Her friendly demeanor and prompt service enhanced our overall experience.
In summary, Hans im Glück is one of the best dining spots I've tried in Berlin, combining delicious food, a charming atmosphere, and top-notch service. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable meal...
Read moreNice cool burger restaurant just opened near one of the main tourist rail stations in Berlin.
Along the main route you would choose to walk too most of the tourist attractions Berlin has to offer, and as a result of this, lots of food options are around here. Not all are any good, so it's refreshing that a new place opens that is not only pretty good but excellent value as well.
Plenty on the menu here with both food and drink well represented.
The set menus available add a little value, although the ridiculously tiny portion of fries we got with our set menu probably means it's not as good value as it sounds like on paper!
We ate for about €40 with 3 set meals, and I can't really complain as it's still (even with the tiny amount of fries) far better value and a far better option for a burger than Janie Olivers place down the road!
They have ample children's menus and a good mix of alcohol and non alcoholic drinks .
Service excellent. Give it a go for a quick, not too...
