What a terrible restaurant. From the moment I sat down, things took a turn for the worse. Billi, the waiter, casually mentioned that the water in his building was “not safe to drink.” Now, on one hand, this felt like a blatant ploy to push overpriced beverages. On the other, if his comment was true, it raises a much bigger concern: if the water is dangerous, is the food safe to eat?
The food was, at best, a disaster. Somehow, they managed the impossible—making it both bland and salty simultaneously. It was as if they tried to season it but forgot to add any flavor. Tapas are supposed to be vibrant, rich with layers of taste, but this was like chewing on a soggy cardboard box with a sprinkling of table salt.
The only redeeming quality was the atmosphere—But any positive vibes were immediately obliterated by the service. It was atrocious. No one could answer a simple question. Every time I asked for something, I was shuffled off to someone else with a finger point, like some bizarre scavenger hunt to find basic service. I was half-expecting to be handed a map.
In a city full of excellent tapas spots, this place doesn’t deserve to be mentioned in the same breath. If you’re smart, you’ll stay far away from this disaster of...
Read moreWe have been to various cities in Spain and tasted authentic paella and tapas but this is not it. It feels like a tourist trap. We dined on a Saturday night. For starters, the drinks are not great. I guess you get what you pay for at 7 euro. We even left one of the cocktails without drinking much of it and they didn’t ask if there’s something wrong with it. Hospitality could be better. Another shortcoming of their service is that they are accustomed to handing you the plates and require you to help them set it down. The paella plate was very hot and I thought this was unprofessional. It’s fine to help a service member sometimes but it would have been easier to know the seat number where the food is going or to just walk to the other side of the table. The food itself is cooked well enough but all if it lacks the flavor and vibrancy of the culture that they’re trying to appropriate. The seafood was a bit over cooked. So much for authenticity. They offer nachos on the same menu as paella de mariscos. All that being said, it to be expected to have this type of restaurant in a touristy part of town. If you need to eat something decent that is not German food, there aren’t many choices...
Read moreDont go there. I was there yesterday with two of my friends. Staff was unfriendly. When we went in we were not properly greeted just asked how many do we want to sit. I ordered the chicken mexican burger. Looked okei. Was completely tastless. I gave a bit to my wife as well she agreed. With ketchup it was somewhat okei so i finished it up. Biggest mistake i made that month. I vomited and shat myself like crazy. My wife too had problems from that 1 bite btw, but jo vomiting thankfully. I got food poisoning. And i am sure it was there coz we had no bite to eat before dinner. So if you want to have a chance and think you will enjoy the food, just dont bother with this place. Has a lot of people sitting there, but i am sure reqlization sinks in quickly. When we paid the waiter just took the terminal. Didnt even say thank you or bye and left us. Also when i wanted the potato fries to go they said okei, but anothet waiter then said they dont rven have the packaging offered me to take the fries in a tin foil wrapping. My review is a warning. I had to get medicine to somewhat calm my stomache down after...
