La Gino recently relocated within our neighborhood, and I was eager to see the changes firsthand. Stepping into their new space, I was immediately struck by the tasteful renovations and expanded seating area, which gave the restaurant a fresh and inviting atmosphere.
As I perused the menu, I was pleased to see familiar favorites alongside new additions, reflecting the restaurant's commitment to evolving while still honoring its roots. I opted for a classic pasta dish and was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the ingredients and the skillful preparation.
The staff, as always, were attentive and welcoming, making me feel right at home in the new surroundings. It was evident that they were proud of the upgrades and eager to share the experience with their guests.
Looking ahead to warmer days, I couldn't help but think that homemade lemonade would be a delightful addition to La Gino's beverage offerings. It would perfectly complement their menu and provide a refreshing option for patrons during the summer months.
Overall, La Gino's relocation has been a positive change for the neighborhood. With its refined ambiance, delicious cuisine, and attentive service, it continues to be a beloved dining destination for locals and visitors alike. I look forward to many more enjoyable meals at their...
Read morei used to go to la gino because i live in the area. since they moved a few houses closer to checkpoint charlie, they are running an operation targeting the tourists. everything got more expensive, the place looks more like a restaurant, but to my dismay, the pizza was worse while costing 2 euros more. It tasted bland. Pity, I will not come back. it s basically a new place the old place i really liked closed.

Read moreJust next to the famous Checkpoint Charlie, there is La Gino, an authentic Italian restaurant and more. Not only does the menu offer a wide variety of high quality sizeable pizzas and pastas, they expand their menu with other options as well. I myself chose the penne arrabiata, which were perfectly spicy, cheesy, and salty, but none too much. The person in the flamboyant beard and moustache and cap, who I can only assume is the owner, came to check on us with a level of simple nonchalant enthusiasm that all of the service world can learn from. The waiters that assisted him were quick in their handling and were always there at the right times. The desserts were of very good quality, to the point where one of us regretted that they didn't order any. To top this all off, the prices were very low, despite the service, speed, and quality of the food. The staff clearly have fun and take pride in their work, and should be commended...
