Let’s see if I will be reported to send fake review lol I like the place but the -3 stars is for the service staff, I don’t think he would care though, my colleagues and I both had weird experiences with the same staff but for different things, but I call it a lesson for my “manner”😉. We are 13 ppl, all colleagues, and my boss reserved a table for Friday night, I ,luckily, arrived first, found a staff to ask for the table that we reserved. The staff insisted that I have to greet him, he told me”es ist nur höflich”, after I said “Hallo:)! Wir haben eine Reservierung ” I was very confused what else I should do other than a Hallo in such a loud and hectic bar because I don’t think it is wise to stand at the front door and asking about the service staff’s day👀. My colleague also heard the Hallo, she looked at me, confused. I told him I am a foreigner and from what I learned so far, at least in Germany, most of the time a “Hallo” is enough. (Where I am from we usually need to bow)He said he is also a foreigner and stared at me, I said eh...we have reservation? He replied: ah so you just don’t want to greet me I guess? I said: I am sorry I already said Hallo in the beginning and now I say Hallo to you again, I don’t know what else I should do? At last he said: ah I didn’t hear that Hallo. Then he brought us to the table, a Hallo in his ear saved the day. I guess, if he didn’t spit in my drink lol.
(The convo was all in German but writing down full German text takes longer for me so I just put it down in English)
So people, if you go there, the music is way too loud to greet literally anyone verbally because they cannot hear you, but the service staffs (or just that one)REALLY want to be greeted, so walk in and hug them, ask about their family their dogs their partners, then you can tell them what you want, make them happy, because why not😃. Do that especially if you are a foreigner and the language is a problem for you;)
Jokes aside, the drink I ordered was very nice, decoration and design are also very cool. Music is nice but if you wanna talk maybe somewhere else, it is very loud.
But I guess I won’t go there again, not so much of a person who asks for service staffs’ day in a full, super busy bar, and there are plenty of cool bars in Berlin, after a very horrible week at work I just wanted to relax a bit there, I don’t feel like I need to be in a bar with service staff who literally thinks he...

Like apparently many people here I have received a ‘review take down notice’ claiming to represent the Geschäftsführer. In an what I can only assume to be a quest to remove all bad reviews from here, they’re claiming that I have never actually been at their place (because they don’t remember my visit - it was in 2012!) and that I therefore must have provided a fake negative review - the base for their claim is the following statement: “Von einem in der Bewertung entsprechenden Besuch wissen jedoch weder der Inhaber noch das Service Personal. Wir gehen davon aus, dass der Nutzer ein anderes Unternehmen meint. Wir bitten darum die Bewertung durch Google löschen zu lassen oder um einen Nachweis, dass der besagte Nutzer tatsächlich Kunde dieses Unternehmens war. Sollte der Nutzer uns keinen Nachweis darüber erbringen können, bitten wir Sie diese Bewertung zu löschen.”
My location history is proving the opposite...
I have been at this place multiple times in the past and most of the times I found the atmosphere not to be very pleasant and the staff to be rude. The worst time was when we were sitting as a group at a table and after about three hours they asked us to vacate the table because they now had a reservation for that table. That I found just incredibly hostile. I personally will definitely avoid this place in the future. If you will visit this place is of course totally up to you.
Tip 1: check out the other people like me amending our reviews after receiving an email to do so and then also read what seems to be the owner replying to these poor souls by copying and pasting the same ‘threatening email he claims to have received’. I’m not sending any threatening emails to you or anybody else. My review is negative because I’m reviewing how I was treated at your place.
Tip 2: check out the other lower reviews here and some of the insulting replies of what seems to be the owner slamming people for being tourists and alleging them stealing glasses....
Read moreUpdate 2023: After more then 2 years, lawyers are trying to take the review down if I can't provide evidence for having been there. I'm not surprised as I've seen this on other comments too. Also the owner removed his own comment where he was falsely accusing me for a crime... Guess I should have taken a lawyer to go against that :D
Felt the covid while walking in. Nobody wears a mask, it's hot and the air is terrible. When you're downstairs they only offer a small drink selection. You get more upstairs but are not allowed to take them down again 🤦🏻♂️
EDIT: Considering the reply from Haus am See I need to react: no, I'm not the guy who didn't want to wear a mask - I'm actually complaining that people didn't wear it properly in the bar and that the air was bad. Also, speaking about false paper work: first of all I wasn't even checked at the entrance. Secondly I'm fully vaccinated and have all correct papers on me. How dear you lying and falsely accusing someone of a crime, simply because you can't take feedback. Please call the police next time if someone holds false paperwork and think about how you react to feedback here as this is ridiculous.. -...
