RESTAURANT STAFF STARTED A FIGHT!!!! The waiter started fighting me because they thought I didnt pay, but my girlfriend paid, before we wanted to leave. Three waiters grabbed me by the neck and started chocking, while I didnt resist and they were pushing my two small sisters and wife against the wall. We were all hurt and they didnt want to let us out while they were calling the police. Enetually I managed to calm them down with the help of one of the waiters who explained them that we paid for food, even though we were screaming this whole time that we paid they were still holding their fists against my face ready to punch me any second. I have suffered already enough in Ukraine with my young sisters during the war, and I did not expect to have such stressful experience in Germany as a refugee, especially in the favourite type of restaurant - Chinese restaurant. My whole family was hurt mentally and physically and when they kicked us out (thats what we ask them to do, just let us leave after we already paid), we had to run away because they called the police and made most of the visitors in restaurant believe that we started the fight because we "didnt want" to pay... In the result I was very lucky to have only bruises and scratches on my neck as 3 waiters were chocking me this whole time. If I tried to protect myself or my wife and small sisters I am sure the staff would accuse us of the fight in front of police. This whole time service and attitude of waiters was awful when they were serving, they were very angry and nervous. Also the food was also awful, super fat and salty and not at all similar to Chinese food.

We solely went there to enjoy Peking Duck, due to the good reviews this restaurant achieved, but were eventually quite dissapointed. The Duck itself was barely enough for two people and compared to other restaurants, even overseas, nothing special in our opinion. Though the restaurant was quite empty, all of the 3 waiters rather kept ignoring us instead of asking if we would like to enjoy another drink or for example pay, making us go to the counter to pay the bill without any tip since it was not worth it in our opinion. Please do not expect it to be a bad restaurant, but I believe that the expectation management is completly set wrong due to the very good reviews. If you are willing to pay approx. 54€ for a small Peking Duck that does not satisfy two people, I would say go for it. My recommendation would be to have a starter, though the question then is if the Peking Duck, plus starter and drinks is worth approx. 70 -80€ for two people. In our opinion it is not and there are better restaurants in Berlin to enjoy much better food for this amount of money.

My review might be a bit biased, but hear me out. Two days ago, my buddy and I finished the Berlin Marathon and decided to explore the city before heading back to Texas. After strolling through the food court at the Mall of Berlin, we figured we'd give Peking Ente a try. As soon as we walked in, the waitress informed us that they only accept cash (which sounded odd, given we thought they took cards, but maybe it's just too early for regular dinner hours—we arrived at 6 pm). To add to the strange vibe, the restaurant had only one or two tables occupied, yet she seated us in a corner next to the restroom. It was honestly uncomfortable—definitely not the dining experience we had in mind. We asked to be moved, but a man came over and said all the other tables were reserved, and there was no availability elsewhere. So, we decided to leave and ended up having dinner in the food court instead. It was disappointing, especially since we were excited to try the place. Maybe we just caught them on an off day, but we won’t be rushing back."

Does not understand their own country’s 2G vaccination rules. Poor customer service.

Edit: This establishment refused entry for my family to eat as our Covid vaccination did not scan on their app. They did not attempt to view our vaccination documents at all and did not make any suggestion to go to the pharmacy. We had been to many establishments using our documents and been accepted once the other places bothered to check correctly. At one other place that did not accept our international vaccine certificate they suggested the pharmacy could help. Therefore, after consideration, I will delete my unhappy review of their business (at least they tried to help). The pharmacist close to this restaurant advised that our documentation was acceptable, as it had been at many places in Germany, therefore we did not return to confirm this a second time.

Confirming compliance with 2G rules can and was done by many venues without using the app and most businesses were happy to assist. This was the basis of my original review and based on these other experiences I believe my review to be truthful.

If you have German (EU?) Covid vaccination certificate then this place will serve you (and may be great, how would I know?), but if not, even if you have appropriate documentation, don’t expect assistance.

Hopefully this business could train it’s staff on checking non-EU vaccination status but based on their response I don’t believe they...

Lang Lang the pianist is right. Eat here if you suffer from homesickness induced by missing authentic Chinese food. I came here for dinner with my German family based on a Chinese restaurant recommendation article online. Upon entering the restaurant I was instantly suspicious we might be in a wrong place for a good Chinese food experience. Flipping through menu of the long list of dishes covered by multiple Chinese cuisine, lifting my head from the menu and seeing no Chinese looking customers insight, not many customers there period... I was convinced we were in the wrong place. This is one of the “miss” than “hit” recommendations. My German family was much more enthusiastic and patient than I was. They wanted to give the place a chance. So we stayed. The rest is history. Two hours later. We had Beijing duck, Dan Dan noodles, seaweed salad, sautéed potato slices, etc.. everything was well done to its original taste and style. I was really happy that we stayed. Thanks to my family’s indifference to my initial gut feeling. 😃 will definitely come back here whenever...
