I stumbled upon this place whilst looking for a good vegan spot near to our hotel, and honestly, it blew me away. I’ve had my fair share of vegan ramen, but this place takes it to another level. The moment I walked in, the warm, inviting vibe hit me—dim lighting, cool decor, and just the right amount of buzz in the air. It felt like the kind of place where you could chill with friends or even enjoy a solo meal without feeling out of place.
I went for their Vegan Duck Ramen, and wow—the broth was rich and packed with flavor, and the "duck" had this perfect texture that made me double-check if it was really plant-based. I also tried a bit of my friend’s Tonkotsu Ramen, and it was just as mind-blowing. The balance of spices, the fresh veggies, the noodles with just the right bite—it all came together beautifully. I will say, the broth leaned a little salty, but honestly, it just added to the bold flavors.
What really stood out, though, was the staff. Super friendly, attentive, and they genuinely seemed passionate about the food they were serving. Plus, their cocktail menu? Absolute fire. I had a drink that perfectly complemented the ramen—fresh, creative, and not something you'd find at your typical ramen joint.
If you’re in Berlin and craving something hearty, flavourful, and 100% plant-based, Shisomen is a must. It was really hard to not come back to this place everyday during our stay in Berlin - will miss...
Read moreI was very excited to try out this vegan place. As a travel agent I need to explore various places to recommend to clients. I was disappointed with food.. i ordered vegan duck ramen. It had a few pieces or seitan, lots of noodles, some sprouts and some cabbage. I would expect some variety of veggies, but that was it.
Then I wanted to try something else, as I like mushrooms I was recommended the mushroom gyoza.. the presentation was nice but the fried “net” on top is tasteless oily dough and the gyozas were glued together, some of them were undercooked, as the dough was like chewing gum. Inside the gyozas it seemed to be just a bit of tofu. I haven’t noticed nor tasted any mushrooms.
I ordered a non-alcoholic version of the raspberry cocktail. It was good. But it was just fresh raspberry purée with store gough wild berry lemonade.
Very good service, beautifully served.. what a pity that I wasn’t lucky with the food.. for these two dishes and a mocktail I paid 35 eur which i find to be overpriced for a few pieces of seitan and noodles and undercooked gyozas without really...
Read moreI found this place by google. I was hungry and I wanted ramen. And this place was the 1st one to pop up. My sister and I are visiting for the weekend (Lollapalooza 2025) and since she is vegan I thought we should go to this place.
The food is delicious but it is only 3 stars because I think they can do so much better. I would have loved to eat the vegan meat (sadly it tasted to me to much like Lebkuchen). The vegetable were delicous I just couldn't much of them because some of them were sized to big. I mean it makes sense in the timesaving way but, there was a little dirt there.
Now the noodles and the broth. Those I love. Absolutely. The broth was warm and creamy, and it was absolutely delicious. The noodles. Pure perfection. Not overcooked. Not undercooked.
It is definitely a recommendation for me. I might not have liked the meat. But maybe you will. The only way to find out is to...
