This was my second (planned) visit to Vincent Piano Bar. The first time we've spent a lovely time at the location: Drinks are decent (slightly overcharged, quality is ok), but mainly the atmosphere with the live Music makes it a (potentially) joyable place.
This time we had a very unpleasent experience with the waiter "Wanja" (male). We were waiting for a table, the waiter was rude to us and said there are no opportunity for Reservations (first come / first serve). So we waited 30+ mins in front of the place for someone to leave. A person who was about to pay noticed our waiting and informed us that he is gonna pay shortly. After his payment, we wanted to sit down, but "Wanja" chased us away from the table and said he has other people waiting for the table (just 30 mins before, he said no reservations are possible). It was all said and acted in a super infriendly manner.
Overall very unpleasent experience! I actually liked the place from the first visit. But the service clearly couldnt make it. We took our business elsewhere (spent almost 400 EUR on cocktails that night at a bar in Oranienburger Straße instead with a good cocktail quality), and will definetely never come back to this place again (thats how you manage to successfully chase away returning customers, BRAVO). A little Piano Music aint good enough for pricy, average quality cocktails, and especially THIS KIND OF...
Read moreDon’t even bother. I’m always looking for live music bars and concerts in my travels so I’ve seen quite a few. The place is small, expensive and is not even a proper piano bar (you know, where you can have fun and sing along with everyone in the bar even if you don’t know them!). Instead this is a cocktail bar WITH a piano, sitting on the far corner, dim and boring.
The little time I listened the musician was pretty mediocre at the piano and even worse at singing, and and on top of that the bearded waiter nearly kicks me out just for asking if there’ll be a possibility to get a table for me mane my party. He just yelled NO NO and told me to leave. Just to say: I’m not that difficult. I understand working in bars can be hell and I don’t expect every place to give me whatever I deem to be impeccable service. But being that rude to the potential clients as soon as they enter (obviously the kind who actually look up piano bars), in my opinion is just dumb. The owners could invest a little more time and energy in finding better staff and talent!
Had a great time next door in the Irish pub and there was a singer who played guitar and violin and could rock out Irish songs as well as...
Read moreI went to get a few drinks last night with friends, we noticed the service was quite slow. We had a reservation to go for dinner in a restaurant after of this bar, and we needed the bill but the waiter was not paying attention to our table, and we tried many times to get his attention. I had to say "Excuse me" a bit louder for him to notice us. Usually if you pay 12 euros for a drink the service and quality should be good, but unfortunately the bartender very annoyedly and rudely came to my table, and told me i was rude for requesting my bill the way I did. The good bars usually apologize to the customers for the slow service but this guy didn’t know anything about good service, and still he has the arrogance to tell us he didn’t like the way I requested my bill. I recomend to the owner investing in good training for his employees, to get rid of such slow service and arrogant attitude. Of course we are not coming back...
