Kunstkaschaemm - Köln — Restaurant in Cologne

Having visited this bar the previous day to watch the football and having enjoyed it we decided to return again, however unfortunately our experience could not have been more different. Within mins of arriving and having taken a free table with no sign on a few of the others in the bar, who appeared to be regulars, started behaving very passively aggressively to us. We asked what the issue was and whether we had taken a table that was theirs and they said no but would not explain their problem with us. Shortly afterwards a staff member kicked us off the table saying it was a work table, despite there being no signage to this effect and this was done in an aggressive manner. Unfortunately will not be returning after this as is not how I expect to treated when relaxing at a bar watching...

Absolutely loved our visit to Kunstkaschämm! The highlight of the evening was the incredible female bartender/waitress — she made the best gin and tonics we’ve had in Cologne. So friendly, attentive, and composed — even when dealing with a few difficult customers, she handled everything with such grace and professionalism.

The vibe here is laid-back and artsy, with lovely music playing throughout — the kind that instantly puts you at ease. We had a great time sipping our drinks and watching the night flow around us. Definitely a hidden gem in the heart of Köln. Can’t wait...

The gazpacho shot (tomato one) is SO good! The long drinks are cheap and the atmosphere is lively. The service could be better but you will have no problems of you walk up to the bar and order yourself. There was football playing. The tap beer selection is also great. One thing is, you cannot pay with card, you have to pay in cash, so keep this in mind. Would definitely go...
