What can I say that hasn't been said. I can tell you they are open late. I can tell you that its very busy. But its hard to convey how good your belly will feel after eating here. Its not easy to describe the warm service and the efforts to keep you happy. That pork neck steak...... AMAZING. The design and layout are a treat to the eye. The entire thing lays out before you capturing the Bavarian vibe..... Just your not in Bavaria.... I think think non Germans want to lump all German food into traditional and non traditional and that is it. But, there are local choices. and if your still wearing your lederhosen then jump back into happiness here.

My wife and I went here on a Sunday evening to have two beers. We ask at the door: “is it possible to pay with card, even though we only want to drink?” as we had no cash with us. The waiter told us to wait - and he left and asked someone else. He returned to us and told us it was fine (as the place was anyways empty at that time). So we sit down and order two beers and I just confirm with the (different) waiter that we would like to pay with card. “No, only from 20EUR upwards” “well, your colleagues told us it was fine” “Yes, only if you pay more than 20EUR” “Ok, but your colleagues told us it would be fine regardless “ “Well, then you should drink 5 beers to get over 20EUR!” Don’t go here if you value customer service. On a side note: I think the beers are not as full as they should be (see photo)

We stopped here to eat and I can say that we were very satisfied because everything was really very good. The staff was very kind to us even advising us on what to get. The place is very well organized, the nice thing is seeing the glasses slide up, a very typical restaurant of the place and very nice. The only thing I'm giving three stars and no more is because they were a bit unfair to us when we asked what we wanted dessert, we were told that the kitchen was already closed. and they couldn't do it, yet it was still 8.30pm. Shortly after we saw that the lady who was sitting ahead of us had the dessert out after she had finished eating and we were disappointed. But otherwise everything went ok. Definitely to go back.

November last yeast I dined at a delightful restaurant in Cologne that offers a unique blend of various regional dishes in addition to the fantastic beer. The atmosphere is reminiscent of an alpine village, with its charming, rustic decor creating a cozy and inviting setting. The schnitzel was perfectly crispy and flavorful, while the bagels provided a refreshing change with their variety and quality. The beer selection was impressive, enhancing the meal with excellent pairings. With its great prices and distinctive ambiance, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in Cologne.

Let's start with the very friendly staff in the restaurant. They were quick and polite. Although, not so much on the phone. The food was good but for the price not great. Meat was really tender but I was missing some flavour. Portions were very generous. It won't leave anyone hungry after. The atmosphere was nice but the high seats were not very comfortable. A little hanger for your coat would've been nice as well but these are just details. Furthermore, the location is great. Close to all the bars and within the city center.

I was looking for a German dinner experience and definitely got it. The smell is a bit strong if not used to German cuisine. I went traditional with their sausage and mashed potatoes dish (very tasty) along with a crispy cold beer. The inside is very comfortable, cozy and traditional decorations. I had actually sat in other two terraces to eat prior to coming here and waited for five minutes in each with no luck of getting my order taken...so decided to come here and was seated and attended right away. Strongly recommend it!
