Nice and casual Italian restaurant at a good location in Köln! Service and food is overall at a good level. Menu is Italian dominated with various pasta, also typical restaurant meals like steaks and even a selection of pizzas. Overall the food tastes good and has good quality. I would define this as a very nice option, not necessarily high end, but a place that really fits anything between casual dining, business dinners and also good for families. Interior is quite large and I know this place is popular among groups that go to trade fairs in the city etc. Easy to get a table which also fits larger groups as well as there are smaller options.

Starting with today this is the best pizza I ever ate. I like pizza and I ate from different place and learned the tough it's the secret. Well I am not an expert but the tough feels perfect, soft even after 20 minutes. The ingredients felt really nice and good quality. It's just hard to explain, just try it for yourself. It's an absolutely amazing pizza. The price is fair too, for a pretty fancy restaurant with good service only 15€ for a huge pizza. So the pizza is amazingly good, cheap and huge. What can one ask for more?

TLDR: Service good, ambiente good, Tiramisu good, Pasta needs work, menu nearly unreadable. Details: After straining our eyes trying to read the silly newspaper based menu by candlelight, and trying to find the lasagna (What they don't offer lasagna??), or wines by the glass, we negotiated our order with the attentive waiter. The service was attentive and good. Our pasta orders arrived in black as night large UFO shaped deep dishes. I ordered the black pasta (Fettucine Salmone) and it was a challenge to eat black pasta in a black bowl by candlelight. The DISAPPOINTMENT was the Vollkorn Fusilli Pesto dish, which arrived with just a few lonely cherry tomatoes as company, in other words, a heaping mound of fusilli. NOT IMPRESSIVE. Didn't find any evidence of interesting ravioli offerings or other Italian classics. Finished off with a pretty decent Tiramisu - so the desert chef is to be congratulated, at least. The pasta chef - well let's say we won't be eating there again for another many years. Last quibble, see the receipt photo - the Primitivo at 8.70 euros per glass was good, but the price was pushing the limit of acceptability.

Expensive steak not cooked properly (pic clearly shows that is not a medium-well). Did not ask to get it fixes because they had already took very long wait time to being the food to the table? so I did not want to loose more time since I was with customers having dinner with a tight schedule. Beer was good. Final bill was approximately 280€ for 5 people dinner (expensive). Good location very close to Köln Dom like 12min walk and 10min walk to the riverfront. Opened until late which was good because other places around were closing soon.

We visited this restaurant for lunch while passing through Cologne to Austria and it was good. The restaurant is located at the heart of the square and had plenty of seating. It was also pet friendly. The menu in the form of a newspaper was a first for me and shows the variety of mainly Italian food they served. We had pizza which was a lunchtime special with soups and the pricing was very reasonable. The staff were very helpful and kudos for finding butter for us. Highly recommended!

We had pizza and spaghetti with prawns. For the quality of food and service it's definitely expensive. We being locals, have eaten for better value for money Italian restaurants. Not worth a visit unless you like to eat in a fancy and we'll designed interior. The man who attended us didn't speak English so it was difficult to communicate. Also had a stomach ache after eating there, perhaps it was something I am allergic to and was not aware of it.
