My wife and I couldn't stop smiling after savoring the incredible steak at ABACCO'S STEAKHOUSE Düsseldorf! It completely stole the show, cooked to absolute perfection by their talented grill masters. Each bite was so juicy and delicious that we couldn't help but feel sheer joy — it was like finding a culinary treasure! And those sweet potatoes? They were so mouthwatering, we couldn't believe how delightful they were, especially with those amazing dips that made every bite a pure delight.

We came to this steakhouse as a group of seven, excited for an evening of delicious food, wine, and good company. The atmosphere was lovely, the location was convenient, and the service staff was friendly and approachable. We enjoyed the antipasti, steaks, and sides, which all lived up to our expectations.

However, the experience was soured by several issues. While the service team was kind, they seemed disorganized, bringing double orders at times and forgetting items we had requested. This was manageable and something we could overlook, but what happened next was truly unacceptable.

In the middle of our meal—right after our steaks were served—the restaurant manager approached us and bluntly stated, “Your 2-hour slot is finished, and you need to leave.” I hadn’t even taken my first bite and was looking forward to dessert. It took a frustrating 10 minutes of convincing for him to let us stay, and even then, he returned twice more to pressure us to vacate the table.

If I wanted a rushed meal, I would have gone to a fast-food chain, not a steakhouse where you expect to enjoy your food at a leisurely pace. This experience completely undermined the evening, and I can confidently say I will not return as long as this manager is in charge.

The waiter stole from us!!

We had an excellent dinner at Abacco's Steak tonight. At the end, our waiter asked if we wanted to pay cash or by card, which is a customary question here in Germany. When we said cash, he asked if we would like an itemized bill. We said it was not necessary. The waiter immediately wrote a number on a blank piece of paper with the total of €164. I did not see the number, but my father went ahead and paid it. Plus, he added the tip. On our way home, my Father said that he feels we were overcharged. That's when I learned the total amount that had been presented to him.

At home, I pulled up the current menu and added up the price of everything we had tonight: 300g filet, 200g filet, a wedge salad, a sweet potato soup, side of small potatoes, a coke, and a water. Based on the menu online, which is the same as what we had in hand at the restaurant, the total of our dinner should have been €128. Not €164. The waiter pocketed the difference, plus tip.

I have to guess that the owner of this restaurant has no idea about our waiter's scam. This ruined an otherwise excellent meal experience. I am leaving the country in the morning and will not have a chance to speak to the owner about this. But, I hope this helps others patrons who go to Abacco's Steakhouse...
