For an authentic and flavorful dining experience in Frankfurt, Loulan Xinjiang Restaurant & Bubble Tea is an absolute must-try! Located on Kaiserstraße, this cozy spot offers a taste of Xinjiang cuisine that’s both unique and unforgettable.
We ordered a variety of dishes, and each one was a standout. The hand-pulled lamb pilaf (手抓饭) was rich and aromatic, with tender lamb and perfectly spiced rice. The beef noodle soup (牛肉面) was hearty and comforting, featuring flavorful broth and fresh, chewy noodles. The baked lamb buns (烤包子) had a deliciously crispy exterior and juicy filling, while the sliced beef appetizer (白切牛肉) was a simple yet elegant start to the meal, served with dipping sauce that enhanced the flavor.
The restaurant also impressed us with its welcoming atmosphere and attentive service. The staff were friendly, spoke English, German, and Chinese, and happily explained the dishes, making it accessible for everyone to enjoy. The decor blends traditional Xinjiang elements with a modern touch, creating a relaxed and inviting vibe that’s perfect for casual dining or small gatherings.
If you’re a local or visiting Frankfurt and looking to explore authentic Chinese cuisine beyond the usual options, this is the place to go. Conveniently located near the city center, Loulan Xinjiang Restaurant is perfect for those wanting a fresh and flavorful experience. Highly recommend it to food lovers, adventurers, and anyone curious about...

I have never been so disappointed. 😩
Yesterday, my colleague and I went out for lunch, hoping to try something new. We decided on Loulan restaurant. While placing our order, I clearly specified that I wanted chicken stew with potatoes and even asked the waiter about the vegetables. Due to my paprika allergy, I emphasized no tomatoes or paprika in my dish.
Firstly, we waited over 40 minutes for our to-go order. During payment, the waiter confirmed my order as chicken stew. On our way back to the office, we joked about the long wait, hoping the food would be worth it.
Upon opening our food boxes, it was a letdown. I ordered chicken, but I received beef stew, just like my colleague who ordered beef. Furthermore, the soup was filled with tomatoes despite my explicit request to exclude paprika and tomatoes. We wasted a significant amount of time waiting, and I ended up going hungry the entire day. We had to throw the food as it was inedible.
Paying 12 Euros for a meal that had to be thrown away left me extremely disappointed. I won't be returning to that...
Read moreThis restaurant not even real Uyghur restaurant, staff are all Chinese who wears Uyghur outfits, halal singn written on outside board with pen, if you looking for halal Uyghur restaurant, this is not the one. Can't believe they are faking it.
EDIT (reply to owner): I honestly request you read my review carefully. I didn't say you are not a Xinjiang restaurant, I said it is not an Uyghur restaurant. This is because many of your reviews say that this is the "best Uyghur restaurant". I just want to warn people it is not an Uyghur restaurant. I also request you review your geography knowledge. East Turkestan (you call it Xinjiang) is not a city and does not have 56 nations. We have 13 nations. By the way, even if your chef is Hui, that doesn't mean you are a halal restaurant. Could you please post your halal certificate number to confirm. Lastly, since you are not faking being an Uyghur restaurant, why did you bother to put a big T.V with Uyghur dance and music at your front door, wear Uyghur outfits and decorate your store in Uyghur style. Apparently, your faking is quite successful. Have a good fake...
