Some of the employees of this store hate foreigners & seemed to be dismissive with English speaking tourists and non EUs.
Unfriendly & rude male staff, he's either an immigrant of a Pakistani or Indian descent, big grumpy guy. Almost xenophobic.
We've been nothing but nice, friendly, polite Americans and are shocked at how German employees behave at this store!.
In the States, we have Walmart and Target and they get paid only $6 an hour, worked min 12 hours a day and still able to put out a smile even at the worst of times, our Walmart warriors treat customers better! I always thought America provides average hospitality standards but after traveling to Germany and across Europe, I would have to say, your hospitality is definitely below average, low class and the poorest, I now prefer to shop and spend money in my own country.
Germany you don't deserve my American dollars with your lousy service & ugly attitude.
Yeah obviously we're English speaking natives we're not fluent in German/Deutsch, we're Americans, I'm fluent in Spanish but who tf cares, we're not moving to this country, we're only here temporarily for work & our German colleagues speak English at work, this isn't about not wanting to learn German, this is about your third world mentality. Just because we don't speak your language that doesn't make us less worthy of a customer & human beings. Treat us more professionally would you?
If you Germans go to Thailand, you speak English, correct? In Thailand for example, they don't expect non Thais to speak Thai language.
English is an international lingua franca. Like we get that you EU nationals ongoing beef with Britain after Brexit but leave us English speakers out of this.
What's with the attitude? We noticed most of the rude ones are immigrant workers from other countries and neighboring European nationals, not at all Germans.
Also how can you call yourself a convenience store if you don't provide shopping baskets to customers? What's it gonna be like if we have 20-30 items at hand? We only have two hands. Use your common sense. You expect us to carry our own trolleys? What a joke.
It's not helping either, to carry your own shopping bag into the store, as the area is the god forsaken safe haven where homeless and junkies are out to get you! And the store employees would then misunderstood customers of stealing, for having our own shopping bags into the store to substitute the non existent basket.
My colleague and I were on a business trip in Frankfurt City and went here several times after work, she went to get Avocados, drinks and snacks and because the store does not have a shopping basket, she used the plastic bag to carry her items and proceeded to the cashier to pay. She intended to only use the plastic as carriage bag, not to buy or take it home after purchase.
The rude male Indian cashier misunderstood and accused her of being a complicated customer and lectured her about not wanting to ask for help. What the actual f. My colleague patiently dealt with him and told him that she used the plastic bag because the store does not provide a basket like every other stores, which is quite logical for grocery shopping .
The rude cashier were seen rude many times with other customers and last night unfortunately it was my colleague's turn to be bullied by him.
Don't call yourself a friggin convenience store if you can't even conveniently accommodate customers.
The security guard in the store was not present to assist, and none of the store employees were willing to help my colleague so don't expect customers to be helped when needed and blame us when we don't get any.
Not sure if Rewe To go is known for its low service standards and overpriced products in all of Germany but this one in Frankfurt's Kaiserstaße tops the chart for being the worst there are.
I advised my colleague to shop elsewhere, boycott this store. You treat customers like trash, you lose customers and you get trashy reviews in return.
Future American travelers, take note of this trashy store, don't act like i...
Read moreOn July 18, I went shopping at Rewe Go. This store is excellent. It offers exactly what I need, including healthy food. It is open until 11 p.m. and is very centrally located. If I were rating only the store itself, I would give it 6 stars out of 5. It is truly great.
What I especially appreciate is the buffet where I can mix my own salad. That is a fantastic feature. But what really disappointed me was that when I arrived a little after 10 p.m., the salad bar was already closed, even though it was still completely stocked. I asked the staff why it was closed when the store is open until 11 p.m. They told me the salad bar has to be cleaned, so they close it already at 9 p.m.
This makes no sense to me. I believe the staff simply makes their job easier so that they can leave as soon as possible after their shift ends. Why else would they close it at 9 p.m. if the store is open until 11? I would be very interested to hear how the owner explains this. I think they are losing profit, and at the same time, customers lose the chance to buy the good food...
Read moreIf you are on a Sunday in Frankfurt, this is pretty much the only option for food shopping, apart from the gas stations and the international airport. Prices are a bit higher than usual gorceries but ok. Be aware it has all kind of ready to go food, bakery, salad bar, some fruits, rolls, sushi, but no real staples, like plain cheese or eggs. Coffee is ok but tastes not great, fine for the price. There are some chairs, benches and tables to consume your food (and drinks, but alcohol). Modern design is appealing, however a bit dirty and rndown in some corners. Therefore 4 stars. Extra point for making Frankfurt a big metropolian feel on a...
