Learn moreHi everyone! I actually want to give a feedback to the owners, I hope they read this. This restaurant is very much hyped among Korean people, tbh because of all this hype you get disappointed. I am from Düsseldorf, which is famous for a lot of good Korean chicken and I have lived in Korea as a non-pork eater that only eats chicken as meat, so that’s my background.
FOOD: I think the chicken sauce (we had my favorite 양념치킨, Yangnyeom Chicken) is sooo goooood !! Like hell you could make so much out of it but you don’t, because the only problem is that there is no actual meat. It’s all just fried Panade. It feels like you’re eating greasy fat and Panade with sauce on top. And you only get a small portion for 18€ that 1 women can eat alone. It’s overly expensive. This is not Korea, so chicken meat prices are hellaaaaaaaa cheap, so the price in this store is not proportional to the German lifestyle. In Korea it’s this expensive because Korea has no real production in agriculture. There’s a huge difference that cannot be applied and shouldn’t. But as I said if you can fix these 2 points you will become a chicken food chain very fastly. If you want to make it really Korean style you are actually missing 무 (white sugar radish cubes) and ketchup-mayonnaise sauerkraut salad. Without this it just seems like an American chicken store.
EMPLOYEES: Toooooo many waiters and waitresses that have no 눈치 and just stand there and flirt with each other. And way tooooo less cooks in the kitchen. Your service can actually improve if you find a good balance. Right now the waiters take space and stand in the hallway and the cooks are not fast enough (40-60min).
I look forward to your improvements in the future and I believe thanks to the music (which is finally loud and Korean I love it!!!) and thanks to the design of the shop you can make it big, if you consider all of this.
Thank you and I wish you...
Read moreFor german click translate.. As i don’t want to be impolite - politness is very important in korea - i give one star. Though they deserve ZERO or less! Forst of all. My gf and me went the 2nd week of september. Theme of the restaurant hugenic concept: COVID19 what is it? noone wears a mask - neither the guest when they move arround nor the staff. Some staff do others dont and rather hug their befriended guests. The distance between tables is like 1 m or maybe less. Actually its less. But why caring.
Next: food A couple of weeks ago we went to their place in oberursel as we were in the area. The food was worth being thrown into the trashcan straight away. Everything tasted like it was prepared in oil 25yrs old. So we thought why not giving it a 2nd chance and try the new place. Maaaaybe they have new/er oil in the deep fryer. Nope they dont. As long as you eat chicken with sauce etc you wont notice.. just like grasshoppers on asian tourist markets. They dont have a particular taste. What you tast is the spice mixture they add. Unfortunately we’ve also had the “normal” fryed chicken. The taste is worthy a penny and when yoo smell at them once more it smells like old used fat..
Last but not least: Reservation system and waiting
No one answers the phone. Reservation isnt possible! You’ll have to go there in oerson and then queueueueueeue forever or be added to the waiting list though 80% of the tables (actually 40% because of corona - if they complied with anto corona measurments 25/30%) are not occupied. They tell you to come back in 1.5-2hrs.. not knowing how long their customes stay nor how many are in queue before you.
Overall experience:...
Read moreIt is very sad that I have to give two stars. The taste of the food is 4.5 stars (the secret-sauced was deliciois but the golden fried chicken was okay, still better than kfc tho) , but the disappointment that I got from the service that made me gave this place a 2 stars and I wouldn't visit this branch in Frankfurt.
I came from Stuttgart, and made an extra stop just to visit tjis restaurant. When I came, it was raining, and due to Corona, they only took outdoor dine-ins. The two tables were occupied and the two tables were wet. The lady said, "It would rain again so we wouldn't open those tables." She were nice in the beginning, and due to that, I did accept the fact that I had to order for takeaway and would eat the chicken on the train back.
I roamed arouns because the chickens would take 20 mins. And after 20 mins I came, they opened the two wet tables and one table that was occupied when I first arrived was just available. I then asked whether I can sit and order again (with still take my takeaway order), but the lady said, "Not possible. There's waiting list for that."
This made me really upset, because: Why did they say they wont open the table but just after 20 mins they opened it? I wouldnt mind to wait to be able to be seated. She said there was a "waiting list.", why weren't I offered one when I said I wanted to dine it? Was it because I came alone?
Anyway, it was just a shame because I was planning to bring some friends over next time if I visit Frankfurt again, but due to this experience, I would not...
