Fiftyfifty Smash Burger — Restaurant in Frankfurt

Just had to rave about FiftyFifty! They just opened up down the street, and I knew I had to try their signature smash burgers. Let me tell you, it did NOT disappoint!

This is the kind of burger that makes you understand the hype. The patty is perfectly crispy on the edges, juicy and flavorful in the middle, and cooked to a perfect medium-rare. The bun is soft and slightly toasted, holding everything together perfectly. It's clear they use high-quality ingredients, and the flavor combination is just on point.

I can't recommend the smash burger enough. It's definitely their star player. But I also have to give a shoutout to their fries - crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and generously portioned.

The staff was super friendly and helpful, especially considering they're just getting started. The whole atmosphere is welcoming and casual, perfect for a relaxed lunch or dinner.

First time in Germany I experienced such arrogant, unprofessional and racist behaviour. When I went to ask about my order the owner starts making racist comments in Arabic, cracking jokes on where I come from (I’m Asian) and all his employees start laughing at me. Guter Ansatz, aber enttäuschende Umsetzung.. oder einfach einen schlechten Tag erwischt?

Das Lokal hat ein cooles Design und wirkt für einen Burgerladen ansprechend. Es ist gut besucht, aber man sollte kein 5-Sterne-Restaurant erwarten – was völlig in Ordnung ist.

Personal & Atmosphäre Es arbeiten ausschließlich Männer, was an sich kein Problem ist. Der Mitarbeiter an der Kasse war nett und geduldig, der Rest des Teams wirkte jedoch eher mürrisch, mir fehlte etwas freundliches aber auch das kann gutes Essen wert machen. Die Atmosphäre wird durch eine unpassend traurige Musik gedämpft – hier wäre eine lebendigere Playlist definitiv angenehmer.

Bestellung & Wartezeit Bestellt haben wir an der Theke und einen Timer erhalten. Die Wartezeit war leider zu lang, und andere Gäste, die nach uns bestellt hatten, bekamen ihr Essen deutlich früher – das wirkte chaotisch. Als unser Essen endlich abholbereit an der Theke war, war es leider kalt… Wärmelampen oder eine bessere Organisation sind hier dringend nötig! Das ist einfach schade!

Essen & Preis-Leistung Das Menü bietet eine solide Auswahl, die optisch ansprechend präsentiert wird. Geschmacklich war der Burger gut gewürzt und die Zutaten wirkten hochwertig – aber ein kalter Burger ist einfach ein No-Go. Die Preise sind größtenteils fair.

Fazit Gute Ansätze, aber die Umsetzung hapert. Ein Burger muss heiß serviert werden, sonst verliert er seinen Reiz. Mit einer besseren Organisation, Wärmelampen und einer passenderen Musikauswahl könnte Fiftyfifty Smash Burger viel mehr aus seinem Konzept...
