I was up late after a long day, journaling our trip here and got hungry. We had crackers but that wasn't cutting it. I mapped a couple places that were open until midnight but no, they weren't open. Settled for a convenience store and began my 15 minute journey. On my journey I passed Kofteci Oguz and they were open until 1:00. I still had 45 minutes! I was thinking kabob at some point anyway, but here was this oasis of potential in the middle of a mostly closed city! Ordered the Teller Sampler and it was as great as you wanted it to be! I don't normally shovel my food like feeding a train on coal, but this was different. I couldn't have been more grateful they were here and open. I know one Turkish word fortunately and it was Teşekkürler, which earned a smile. My only language is English and it took me a week to get that one word right when I visited the country last year.
