NORDSEE Frankfurt Fisch Franke — Restaurant in Frankfurt

I was in Frankfurt for a few hours before my flight, and we needed to eat something. Mind you, I'm not a huge fan of fish, but I was in the mood for some simple fish and chips. I came across this place that I didn't know (I'm from another country) and it seemed more "fancy". We read the menu and decided to go inside and try, even if I was worried I wasn't gonna like any dish very much because like I said, I'm not a big fish fan. The nice waitress told me the codfish was the fish and chips, but with potato salad, so we ordered it. And omg. It was the BEST breaded fish I've ever eaten. Not oily, super tasty and dry, just perfect. The sauce and potato salad were equally delicious. Wish I could have had even more. It was an amazing surprise before my 12 hour flight home. It's one of those unforgettable foods that I know I'll mention many times to others! So worth it, would go back many times if I lived...

This is a lovely place. I was struggling finding something nice in Frankfurt but I am very happy with my choice to come here. This place is not in the slightest way pretentious yet produces excellent food for money. Staff was really kind and rightly stated that having the smoked salmon as a starter and the fish and chips as a main dish, would be a bit much for one person. Instead they offered me a half portion of some of the best fish and chips I have ever eaten (and I know of some of the best fish and chips places in Wales which for me says a lot). You can really taste that the fish is of excellent quality and is cooked with respect and love for the product. Worst experience ever and it was over before I even started eating. I walked in on a Monday night by myself as I'm travelling on business and the restaurant was fairly busy. The layout of the restaurant made it confusing to see where to stand and wait to be hosted. I waited for a couple of minutes only to see waitresses rushing past so I asked a waitress if there was a table for one. She looked at me with great annoyance and angrily pointed out to an empty table. I felt like I was intruding at this point and awkardly sat down. A few more minutes went by with me being completely ignored at which point I decided to walk out and write this review. In my many years of frequent restaurant visits never had I experienced...
