I only learned that this place was only recently taken over by new management about three weeks to a month ago upon writing this review.
Hence, the menu you may see on this location may differ from the exact items you may be able to order at the restaurant itself.
However, we had a very pleasing, welcoming and delicious experience nonetheless. The owner and his service staff are all very friendly and helpful. The food is fresh, authentic chinese, and they provide an amazing chili oil you can help yourself with at each table. I did not detect any packet or frozen food warmed up, it all tasted fresh and homemade.
Regardless of any negative opinions that may have happened before this new owner took over. I'd highly recommend you give them a try anyway. The food isn't overly pricy for the city, the portions are perfect for ordering several dishes to share and try among the table.
If you are seeking an authentic Chinese Shanghainese food. Especially noodles, jianbing (chinese pancake) or Chinese appetizer dishes, then you'll need to drop by and give this location a try!

The service was nice, the people in the kitchen spoke shanghainese so we felt very home-y. Sadly the wontons, the xiaolongbao and shenjianbao tasted like they were frozen and the beef noodle soup was very bland, the noodles weren't handpulled or anything and for the price you're better off at the noodlemaker near the skyline plaza. The red bean paste sesame balls were good but the filling was less than half a teaspoon of the actual bean paste. The Bing was tasty tho.
