The service needs to be improved. When we went it wasn't busy and yet we didn't get greeted or asked if we needed help. I don't need them to check on me constantly but it definitely didn't make us feel welcomed.
The food was okay. My husband had the Mazel tov. It wasn't anything amazing but it also wasn't bad. I had ordered the pancakes and I was disappointed as you only get 3 tiny pancakes with a little bit of fruit and a small amount of maple sirup. Unfortunately they were a bit burned. They need to improve on the taste. Fine if you want to only give 3 extremely small pancakes but do something to make it special. Add more fruit, maybe offer different sauces, add chocolate chips or something.
What did I like: the place was nice, its cozy and has a chill vibe. The juices were good. You can pay by card.
Would i go back? Here's the thing they offer a lot of food. I feel like places that do that the food will always just be medium. I'd rather have them have less options but therefore really perfect them. Then I would go back and then I'd be willing to pay the amount that they are asking. I hope that they improve and I hope to see...
Read moreThis hidden gem of a place in Frankfurt Westend for breakfast and lunch is absolutely fabulous. We went for breakfast this morning. Man! We had to wait in line for at least 25 minutes before we were seated. The staff were very friendly especially our waiter Ale(Alessandro) is such a sweetheart. Once seated, he took our order very quickly and the food arrived very fast( we were told that they were short staffed!) We ordered the Sunny side up(two sunny side ups with bread, Avocado, salad and pomegranate) and Circle of Trust (Bagel, Avocados, Tomato and salad), Mimosa and Coffee Americano. The food was very delicious and absolutely out of the world. We finished the meal with a shot of ginger extract(compliments of Sunny side up! Thank you Ale for your wonderful hospitality!). My new go to place for breakfast in Frankfurt city. No wonder the reviews about this place are very good. If you are in the mood for a good breakfast and do not mind vegetarian/ vegan food, look no further, this is your go to...
Read moreI recently visited Sunny Side Up Westend for breakfast and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of food they serve. The use of organic eggs and ingredients in their dishes really sets them apart from other breakfast spots in the area.
I particularly enjoyed their hibiscus iced tea and coffee, which were both refreshing and delicious. The flavors were unique and a nice change from the typical iced tea and coffee options you find at other cafes.
The only downside of Sunny Side Up Westend is the lack of sitting space, especially now that it's getting colder outside. Unfortunately, I had to queue for a while just to get a seat inside, which was a bit inconvenient. However, the food and drinks were definitely worth the wait.
Overall, I would highly recommend Sunny Side Up Westend for their high-quality breakfast options and use of organic ingredients. The hibiscus iced tea and coffee are a must-try, although be prepared to queue for a seat during busy...
