Food poisoning… The fish wasn’t fresh. The plating looked bad — nothing like their Instagram photo ( last picture) Friendly service, but quite slow. Warm atmosphere overall, but the experience was ruined by the bad food….

I’m glad to read that no other customers were affected.

As for the meal, it wasn’t exquisite, nor was it bad. I was hungry – so I ate. My experience was neither particularly pleasant nor unpleasant. I started feeling the effects about 30 minutes after eating.

That said, I’d like to highlight once again how warm and kind the lady who served it was – she really made the experience more pleasant.

As for the photos, they weren’t originally meant as a complaint – I was simply sharing them with a friend remotely. It was only afterwards that I realized they didn’t showcase the dish in the...

Delicious and classy food in the hotel own restaurant. I personally would have preferred if there were any form of indicators showing what each part of the buffet was. A lot of the entrées were so extravagant that I couldn't tell what it was made of. Definitely a no go in such a multi cultural day in age. What bothered MW a lot was the personnel. A few were quite friendly. Other how ever stood behind us and gossiped about our company and our colleagues. In the 20 UP Bar, the personnel was also not satisfactory. For a group of ±30 people we only had one waiter ... When you're paying 9€/drink, you're gonna...

Ein Dinner im Waterkant ist weit mehr als nur ein Restaurantbesuch – es ist eine kleine Auszeit in stilvoller Atmosphäre mit Fokus auf Qualität, Frische und Zurückhaltung.

Wir haben ein 3-Gang-Menü mit begleitenden Getränken genossen – jedes Gericht fein abgestimmt, kreativ interpretiert und perfekt zubereitet. Besonders positiv: der Service. Unaufdringlich, diskret im Hintergrund, aber jederzeit aufmerksam und freundlich. Genau so, wie man es sich in einem Fine Dining Restaurant wünscht.

Am nächsten Morgen zeigt sich das Waterkant von einer anderen Seite – als Frühstücksraum des Empire Riverside Hotels. Auch hier wird Qualität großgeschrieben: Vom frischen Obst bis hin zu warmen Gerichten, hochwertigen Kaffeespezialitäten und nordischen Klassikern ist alles dabei. Elegant präsentiert, mit ruhiger Atmosphäre und weitem Blick über den Hafen.

Mein Fazit: Ein stilvolles Restaurant mit durchdachter Küche, erstklassigem Service und großartigem Blick. Ob abends beim Dinner oder morgens beim Frühstück – das Waterkant schafft es, Genuss und Gelassenheit perfekt zu verbinden. Für mich ein echtes Highlight in Hamburg.
