Bohne & Malz am Stachus — Restaurant in Munich

Great food. We had an enjoyable meal for most of our time there. We ordered a bottle of wine and two meals. They wouldn't bring us tap water because they wanted to sell us bottled water in addition to the wine we had already ordered. Many European restaurants will bring you free tap water when you order wine, but apparently not this one. As we had been hiking about all day, we had our own bottled water with us, which we drank in the restaurant as wine further dehydrates you. Three employees took their turn to come to us, insisting that we were not allowed to drink water that we had not purchased from them in their restaurant. They managed to turn an enjoyable meal into a very unpleasant experience. We will never go back. We paid our 53 euros (apparently this was not enough for them since we didn't also order...

Restaurant is ok, but it is amazing to have a waiter demand a tip. This is not normal, but I agreed and have him aprox 15%,

I ended asking for it to be refunded because he complaint about my consumption being too low and threatening that next time he wasn’t gonna bother with us.

Restaurant was empty the whole time I was there and my group of friends ordered more than me.

Bottom line, don’t bother, there are better and cheaper restaurants less than 100m away with a better service guarantee.

Edit: waiter went and asked my friends to tell me to remove the review claiming it was a miss understanding over the min amount for card payment….. My review will remain and drop a star after this. Calling a customer cheapskate over a tip and threatening bad service next time is not a miss understanding, it is quite clear what...

Unfortunately, service was terrible for my wife and I even though my food was ok (hers wasn't). We were served the wrong dish, we doubled-checked it with the waiter who took our order and he said that was what we had ordered. When we questioned him, he looked at the guests at table next to us and they laughed at us. We then asked a second waiter if that dish was the correct one and, as we strongly suspected, he said it wasn't. At that point, my wife took the wrong dish anyway as she was starving and distressed. Plus, the wrong dish was supposed to come with a specific sauce but it didn't. We asked our waiter if we could bring us the sauce, but he said they didn't have it anymore... Meanwhile, this happened after our waiter had brought us the wrong drinks and my wife's wrong dish arrived 5-10minutes...
