By far the best bubble tea in Munich. I've been dropping by almost weekly for a while now, and can attest to Comebuy's consistent quality as well as friendly service.
I grew up in Asia and prefer bubble teas that have a strong tea fragrance (the drink is called "milk tea" after all, and not "tea-flavoured milk"). I've tried many other boba spots in Munich, but only Comebuy delivers on this. My drink of choice is their Roasted Oolong Milk Tea (or Ceylon Milk Tea) with Taro & Yam pearls, taken with no sugar (the toppings are sweet enough) and no ice (the drink is still served cold, but won't dilute any further with melted ice). The tea flavour comes across beautifully with their basic black teas, and the pearls are cooked to just the right consistency each time.
This spot isn't one to chill at, it's more of a takeaway bubble tea spot. But that's quite common in Asia so I have no issues with that.
Bonus: Comebuy offers reusable cup options with a deposit, but they are also super fuss-free if you bring your own cup! Just make sure it's large enough to fit your drink (500ml for M and 700ml for L).
If you come often enough, it makes sense to ask for a loyalty card that gives you 1 free drink for every 10 purchased.

I ordered three drinks and after having to wait (as I was happy to accept) I was the next person in the queue to get my drinks. However they skipped me and continued to hand out the drinks to the next customers behind me. After continuing to wait for my drinks for even longer, I noticed that my drinks had already been made and were standing on the counter for the girl to hand them out to me. But she just didn’t give them to me, even though they were standing right in her sight. Only after I explicitly pointed out to her that my drinks are already waiting for her to hand them to me, she went in to pick them up and give them to me. Maybe she was just too careless with my order, but instead of apologizing to me, she was very unfriendly and rude to me. Was I wrong to expect even a small apology??? Instead, she just made up a random lie to not accept any responsibility for her fault!!!
With the drinks I returned to my friends, where we then realized, that the drinks were not made as I ordered (wrong toppings & wrong amount of sugar). That has already happened a few times before, and it is always a big disappointment.

Read moreI have been a regular customer at this bubble tea shop, visiting at least twice a week. However, my visit at 11:00 AM today was extremely frustrating. I wanted to add taro pearls to my drink, but the female staff member told me they didn't have any pearls at all. So, I asked if they had purple rice, to which she responded they only had konjac. I agreed to add konjac, but when my drink was made, it only had konjac and no purple rice.
When I inquired about this, she claimed that I didn’t specify I wanted purple rice, even though I had confirmed it multiple times. This was quite annoying. Then, I asked if I could pay extra to add purple rice, but I wasn't allowed to pay with my card. I ended up having to use a €20 note to pay for a €7 expense, which wasn't my fault.
I would like to ask what kind of preparation is done before opening the shop if you don't have basic ingredients like taro pearls, especially when they're supposed to be available on Fridays and Saturdays. I specifically came on a Saturday, yet they still weren't available. What upset me the most was that after adding the purple rice to my drink, the staff member didn't say a word to me and didn't inform me when it was ready. I was left standing there waiting.
