Everyone here mentions the service is great and the waiters are nice - I wonder if we all been at the same coffee place… From the start the waitress hassled us with ordering (literally giving us this bored look when we hesitated with our choice for like 7 seconds) and she said all tables were booked out therefore we should take a 15 minutes walk outside (in a pouring cold rain!) while our „to go“ order is being prepared. When we came back, one of the tables was still empty - Oh well. The waiter guy tried to explain us with hand moves if we need a paper bag for our order - probably because we have an accent in German :D The coffee was not up to our standard (weak crema, even though the waitress made sure to explain me the basics of coffee types - „crema is stronger then americano“), however after our remark the waiter guy gave us a free double espresso and the food was deli - therefore 1 star on top. I must confess though I still have no idea what does this place has to do with raw (eating?). To sum up, for us overall the place is an epic fail, especially when you see 4.8 stars on Google, drive 30 minutes to get gastronomically happy and end up being deflected by an arrogant host. No one wants THIS for their...
Read moreTried a couple more things from this cafe - the cinnamon croissant was unbelievably delicious! Melt-in-your-mouth texture and not too sweet, best croissant I’ve had so far! The bagel however was too dense and heavy (are they supposed to be this tough?!). All the other ingredients were super fresh though and the hummus was creamy and delicious! — Great cafe - hip, rustic, alternative but still cozy! The selection of sweet treats is honestly astounding! We ordered banana bread with choc& walnut and blueberries and both were delicious (too much choc and blueberries for our liking but that’s meckern auf hohem Niveau 😉)Their brunch menu also looks very good. And the staff is very friendly which is not a given in Bayern ;) Can’t wait...
Read moreGot scammed when paying. Waitress charged us 100 euros for 4 sandwiches, 6 coffees and 2 litres of water (do the math), and then left immediately without giving us a receipt. We found out a few hours later and when we came back to raise the issue, we could tell she immediately knew what was about to happen. She then proceeded to state that this included the expected amount to tip in Germany (not true) and that this was an acceptable percentage from the initial bill of 90 euros (also not true, again so the math).
We caved and accepted a refund of a mere 5 euros. Unless you are an American tourist and find these rates of surcharges normal, avoid at all cost. Real shame because the food is nice, despite the...
