This place is an experience worth having when in Munich! The cocktails are great, and the mixologist very helpful in suggesting or working with what youâre looking for. The menu is set up with a touch board so you can associate every drink to a material in the room. Again, this plays into the experience of the place. You can make it a fun pre-dinner or post-dinner cocktail.
We order a lot, so Iâll tell you what to get. The Linen was my favorite, it was light and enjoyable. The red velvet was the equivalent of getting a frozen-like sweat drink on ice⌠one member of our party had been mentioning wanting a daiquiri and this fit the bill in a more sophisticated manner. The green wall was another favorite, super light and refreshing. Incredible. The brass was interesting, it was sweet, yet dry in the bite. Hard to describe, definitely a specific taste to enjoy. The green velvet was refreshing and heavy in the coconut flavor. The dark wood surprised me and was really great from someone whoâs drink of choice is gin, tequila and vodka. The Negroni was fun and different than any weâve had in the past.
Yes I reviewed a ton of drinks, and we actually had a few more that were specials of the night. Overall everyone loved it and got to try new and delicious options. Incredible staff and a really cool atmosphere. A...

Some drinks were flat, others ok. The location causes higher pricing, which is normal. Very nice was the amuse gueule from the bar, a new experience in Munich. Chapeau for that đ.
Feedback was accepted by some and we were told it would be passed on. Some others didnât like it at all to talk about quality and swiftly moved on.
The atmosphere was on our Saturday night rather restless, a lot of fluctuation. Too bad for such a nice location. No clear seating policy, nor with the wardrobe.
The sushi we had was good, but small for the price.
The service for a Mandarin Oriental Bar was under expectations from ok to good depending on who passed by.
Compared to other experiences we had in Munich I would prefer others over this bar, but maybe my expectations were too high to start with as the best Cocktailbar in Munich according to Falstaff Magazin.
My personal preferences based on the taste of the drinks:
Drunken Cow (Cocktails & Burger/Steak) MâUnico Rooftop Bar (Cocktails & Restaurant - Hotel) Izakaya (Cocktails & Restaurant - Hotel) Do&Co (Cocktails & Restaurants -Hotel) Brenner (Cocktails & Restaurant) Goldamsel Bar...
Read moreAlmost everything is good, the cocktail is very high quality with uniqueness. Most staff is nice and friendly. However, Iâm afraid of that our first impression is totally ruined by the receptionist. We do not make any reservations but Iâve never regarded it as a mistake to be a walk-in guest. After sitting down for a while, we kindly requested a menu from the reception man, he just make me sick by saying âYou didnât make a reservation, but we still provide you a table, which is very good, be patientâ. We only wanna deliver a signal that we are ready to take the menu, but I donât expect to be treated like as a person who did something wrong. I understand to wait if staff is busy at serving other people. I prefer you reject us at the very first place, weâve never beg you to get inside, but please donât give me your attitude. As a âbest barâ located at the grand hotel brand, this kind of serving attitude is not acceptable entirely.Iâve been hundreds of cocktails bar through the world, ORY gives me the WORST experience Iâve ever had. I would say you can always find other good cocktails at somewhere, you are...
