Read moreIt was a terrible visit! After many locals raving about the hip Asian restaurant in town, what we experienced was a disaster. We made a reservation long before and when we arrived we were told to wait between tables with no instructions. When I went to talk to the host, he told me that there is one table that was supposed to vacate so me, my mom, and my brother were supposed to wait next to the table. This is very unprofessional, especially since there were multiple other same-sized tables available. The host and the waiting staff at best were dismissive. I have been to many high-end places and never experienced anything like this.
After we were seated, problems did not end. We ordered cocktails and appetizers, which never arrived. Afterwards, we ordered food. None of the waiting staff spoke English. I understand they didn't have to but still, you expect at least one person to understand you. They were not great auf Deutsch either. I have been to Germany many times and never experienced this before.
The food was ok, obviously, I am not comparing to Southern California's Asian food scene but even for Europe at best it was below average. We had sushi, duck breast, and pho. The duck breast was dry, the sushi tasted like it was from a grocery store (I assure you, my neighborhood Whole Foods has much better sushi). Pho was decent, they probably should have been serving just Vietnamese. They didn't have Vietnamese coffee either.
We are only disappointed because friends raved about this place and our experience was not great. I understand customer service is not Europeans' strong suit but this one was really bad.
If I visit Nuremberg soon, I'd give them another chance maybe for lunch but I will keep my...
Read moreGood food and Ambience but the Service wasn't great because I just had a simple request for a happy birthday written and presented alongside with the food which was already present in their Google maps reviews(you can check) pictures so nothing new was demanded, I said I'm willing to pay extra for it as well , a staff told me only If you order a Dessert we'll think about it, I ordered and as expected there was nothing. No it was not crowded and I went there on a weekday. It's fine I understand they might be busy sometimes. But the thing that made me give a low rating for service was because the person who was taking our order made us feel not welcomed there, wanted us to decide immediately after handing over the menu and I just ordered 1 drink because the other person had cold and didn't want more ice (few fruit drinks have 70% Ice 30% whatever fruit flavor drink you ordered) the staff reacted in a weird way saying "just 1 drink", later they were making it obvious that they want us to leave. I would not recommend this restaurant if you're a so called "outsider" All good, hope they change this...
