The good: Beautiful view of the Acropolis; food was decent. The bad: Service was extremely poor. We were repeatedly ignored while others received attentive care. Disappointing, especially given the high prices.
Detail on the bad: We sat for a long time without menus and were completely overlooked until we flagged down a waiter cleaning a nearby table. Ordering took ages, and only one of our two wines arrived. When we pointed this out, staff seemed annoyed, and the second glass was noticeably under-poured. Plates from our starters weren’t cleared for an uncomfortably long time. Again, we were ignored. A couple seated next to us, after our starters were finally cleared, were instantly given menus, water, and bread. The contrast in treatment was frustrating. The food is overpriced but acceptable. Unfortunately, the service fell far short of what you'd expect from a place charging these rates… especially compared to the warm, attentive service we experienced elsewhere in Athens. To top it off, the waiter asked for a tip. When we calmly and politely expressed our disappointment with the service, his demeanour changed completely. He became visibly irritated and handled the payment in a rushed manner and was dismissive / abrupt as he walked off. We also had to ask several times before anyone even...
Read moreDisappointing. The food is no more than average. The place is ridiculously overpriced for what they offer. The service I cannot fault as they are very professional and polite. The atmosphere, well there’s not much of an atmosphere as the place is half empty and the other half seem to be the older people staying at the hotel who might be more comfortable dinning in at night. The fish was bland with the garnish being a sliced baby potato, just the one. A couple or maybe 3 halves of cherry plum tomatoes and a few scattered capers and bits of olives with no taste at all… for 30 EUR. A bottle of sparkling water 8 EUR, a cup of tea, literary a cup of hot water with a paper tea bag 6 EUR… You cannot offer what you offer and charge people these prices. I have dined in much better awarded restaurants in Athens where the food was more & also outstanding, paying very close to the same. As for the view, yes, it’s lovely but you get the same view from many roof terraces in Athens. Would not come back...
Read moreMy wife and I came for after dinner drinks. We were seated for more than 20 minutes and no one came to take our order. However, people who came in after us were seated and were waited on and able to order and receive their drinks before we were even able to get anyone's attention. The waiters would ignore us when we were trying to flag them down and would look the other way when passing by our table. The worst part was when we were leaving, a waiter who was not attending to us stopped us in front of everyone and told us we had to pay, when we had already paid 10 minutes prior to this. She wouldn't let us go until our waiter told her that we had already paid. This establishment clearly has racial profiling towards people of color, even their own hotel guests. Worst experience we have had in Greece during our honeymoon! I do not recommend this place, there are other better rooftop bars in the area that will treat you with dignity...
