Brown Acropol Rooftop Bar Restaurant — Restaurant in Athens

We had the best stay and we’d come back again. Here are the reasons that I’d recommend it:

Our room was lovely, spacious and clean. The beds are exceptionally comfortable. Slept so well during our stay We booked a room including breakfast which had a range of options. An exhaustive menu where we dined every morning on the rooftop bar Instead of a pool they have 4 hot tubs, one isolated with a view of Lycabettus Hill and three on the other side with a view of the Acropolis. Such a great idea because you can have a hot tub to yourself with privacy for you and your party The concierge are FANTASTIC! Kanellakou and Katerina were super responsive to my messages on their WhatsApp chat ensuring that what I needed was delivered to my room. They helped us in finding yours and arranging our airport transfer. They were kind and thoughtful asking about our day whenever we’d return at the end of the day. The spa is lovely! Had an excellent Deep Tissue massage and my friend had a Swedish massage. The spa is private space so you have to book in advance Steven who welcomes you to the hotel is very friendly. Asked us about our day and checked in on us when we passed him in the hotel There is security outside the hotel Very well located with a minute long walk from Omonia train station They have a platform which you can use and communicate with the hotel before and during your stay.

Overall, our experience was fantastic! I know the reviews are mixed so I’m not sure what to say. Our experience was problem free and stress free. Would stay again and recommend it to my family...

We just went for drinks at 7:30 pm. We were the only people in the entire place. They have an amazing view of the city, but the service was terrible. We had two 14 Euro drinks which were good, but we had to go to the bar to order, then we waited for 15 minutes to get them. There were at least three employees in the bar talking to each other, but not serving customers (us, the only customers). Later, we ordered another round of cheaper drinks but again had to go to the bar to flag them down. When we were done, we had to go to the bar to pay, and after we paid they chased us down to tell us they had undercharged us. We told the manager that the service was terrible and explained the situation but there was no offer of compensation. I'm sure there are better roof top bars you can find in Athens...

Incredibly upset and insulted. Showed up with a confirmed reservation only to be rudely told that these wouldn’t be honored since they booked a party at the last minute. Received no notification of this change and was left without a place to eat on my honeymoon. No flexibility by staff even though we were polite and said we would be willing to sit anywhere or move our reserved time later to still come. Walked down the street to Prigkipas who kindly took us without any reservation and was amazing for a fraction of the price. Don’t fall for Brown Acropolis - it’s overpriced because of the view and the service is the worst I’ve encountered in Europe.
