Stay away from the Lamb dishes!

During our holiday, my wife has been wanting to eat at this restaurant for a while as this was one of the few restaurants that had lamb options. The restaurant looked quite nice as well, however the same was not true for the food.

My wife ordered a lamb souvlaki and I got a lamb leftiko. Both dishes were bland with minimal seasoning. We were quite disappointed considering we spent a good amount of money here, however we were generally disappointed with the main courses and grill options.

Only thing I liked here was the Greek Sausage which in itself is very filling. The restaurant looks relatively modern with minimalistic designs.

One thing I have noticed about Athens. Whenever we go to a slightly fancier restaurant to eat, we have been thoroughly disappointed by the food and how much it costs. Every time we went to a smaller and local shop (less fancy), the food turned out excellent and it was also super cheap.

My recommendation, stay out of the 'fancy looking' places and enjoy to your heart's satisfaction, delicious and cheap food from slightly more local restaurants a bit...

I want to give a higher rating but cannot. Lovely corner location with ample seating. The service was amazing. We were warmly greeted and felt welcome. Plates coming out looked amazing. Our starter was delicious (crunchy feta) and my son’s lamb chops were very good. Unfortunately my steak ordered medium came well done. The server saw it and immediately knew, apologized and sent it back. I hate to waste food but understandably so as it was the highest priced item on the menu. Sadly the second one came, branded with weights, and just as over cooked. I would have replaced with another dish but my daughter that I was sharing with has a simple pallet. Meat without the delicious sauces I’m sure they’re much better at preparing. Again, the servers were apologetic, nearly embarrassed, and I felt bad for not finishing it but it was truly over cooked. Well done. Very well done. They did share a dessert on the house and were kind. It’s not the...

Beware of this restaurant. Note many of the reviews are from ‘local guides’ so paid for reviews possibly? - not real people telling you how it is. Firstly they charge you for the bread (plain crust with no butter!) and water without telling you at the start - what a cheek - that is pure greed. Then the food itself was just boring. We were unimpressed with the lamb skewers which were fatty, and too many chips and not enough salad - well no salad at all unless you order it as extra. The service was also very slow, ignoring us for ages when we had finished and wished to pay and leave.

I would class this place as pretentious and focussed on profit over quality and customer service - there are better restaurants around so save your money for somewhere else with your family, somewhere they actually care about their guests and don’t...

This place is heaven! So happy we found it, when we were looking to eat somewhere close to our holiday studio! We had keftadakia, crunchy feta and (vegan) moussaka. And let me tell you, the seasoning was perfect for every single dish. This was the last place we had dinner at before leaving Athens and we're truly sad we didn't discover it earlier on. The service was wonderful and the waiters were kind and spontaneous while remaining professional, the place was beautifully furnished, and the food was even better than we had imagined, plus there were a lot of vegan options which I can only applaud. If in doubt where to eat your dinner: stop doubting, just choose Onos! ☺️👏

Where do I start. Slow service and poorly cooked food. Six of us order appetisers and they didn’t all come out together, we waited 5 minutes between the first 4 that came out in twos. The next one felt like forever to come but boy was I wrong, when it came to the last one we’d all practically finished eating before the last one came. We only ate because the food would’ve been cold otherwise. Onto the mains, again service was slow, moussakas came last what felt like 10 minutes after everyone had there’s and they were frozen in the middle still, I had the pork rib-eye ribs and well it was not cooked properly and made me feel sick and my stomach hasn’t felt right since.

This was a reasonable restaurant with some good tasting food. The gyros were good, not overly seasoned, and tender. The lamb chops were also good. The lamb chops are not the whole chop, but the leftover meat on the bone after the main piece is removed. The fried calamari was also decent in taste, not overly salted, well seasoned, and not needing any sauce. As others have mentioned, they bring you water and bread without you asking, then charge you for it. When asked about it, they mentioned that if we didn't drink the water, they would have removed it from the bill. Overall, this is a decent place, but nothing really stood out for us.
