I am writing this two years after visiting this restaurant in October of 2022. I still think of this place. The food was delicious, for the most reasonable price you could imagine. It was filling, the food mixing flavours in your mouth and making you feel warm inside. The staff were lovely, jovial and happy to talk for a few minutes before you sat down right close to the Acropolis. My mom and I returned several times during our trip to come back and eat the gyros here, taking 30 minutes to walk from our Air BnB just for the food. I still compare every gyro I have to this place. I am sitting in front of a meal right now, having just eaten some, and find myself mourning what could have been. If nothing else, try this place. It will forever ruin every other gyros you have, but it will be the best damned food you eat for...

Simply the best pita gyros in the world!

I eat here every time I have been to Athens (I tried it for the first time in 2014 and the last I went there in 2015 was closed), it’s in front of the tube,s exit and the restaurant is really tiny, just a few tables inside and some other outside. But their service is really fast because they work in the city center, so it could be a little bit crowded during the launch time (even a lot of local scholars and workers) but don’t worry the queue won’t last for long! At least the pita is really the best, they offer different kinds of meat and portions or plate, the vegetables are really fresh and they serve it with a sensational tzaziki sauce. More over i remember that it was even quite cheap, like a few euro for a gyros pita Sandwich! This place is...

They made a mistake on the cost of the customer when I paid with my contactless card.

Last night I had one pita gyros (euros 2,60). It was my fault that I hadn't checked the receipt immediately. Too naive of me. The other day when I did check the receipt, I saw that they hit this as a double consumption (euros 2 * 2,60)!!! So, I paid euros 5,20!! I made the effort to go there and tell them that I paid double my consumption when I gave them my contacteless card. They called me names and they said it was my mistake. I maybe have lost 2,60 euros, but they lost my trust, and that's why I took the time to write this negative review here. I never wrote a negative review before. Hopefully others will be more alert when they give their contactless card to pay. They make mistakes on the cost of...

Food is alright, but the service is atrocious! Don’t ask for no tomatoes, because apparently they will take offence to that and give you a plate full of tomatoes! Mind you the cashier told them no tomatoes, and they were in on both the pita and salad. When I said the salad was not supposed to have tomatoes he rudely states “YOU WANT GREEK SALAD WITH NO TOMATO?!!?!?” yes that’s what I ordered and paid for! Had she simply told me that they were not able to do that, I would not have ordered it. Totally rude and abrasive! Banging on the counter to get your attention! For a country that runs on tourism, you would think they would have better customer service! Would not come back because of the treatment! Can’t imagine if someone had an allergy.

The gyro here is undeniably tasty, but my experience was overshadowed by the unprofessional behavior I observed. In the heart of Athens, near the iconic Acropolis, the woman at the cash register, possibly the owner, repeatedly cornered and harshly berated the man making the pitas, insisting he use smaller portions of meat. It was uncomfortable to watch someone being treated this way, especially when they are likely working for modest wages. Such uncivilized behavior has no place in a tourist area that represents the history and hospitality of Greece. I believe we should support businesses that value and respect their staff.. Not to mention that the pita this year is almost half in size of the last year's pita in meat portion ..
